ummm nah..i didnt get the insurance this time, pretty silly i know. first time i ordered without the insurance…so is it you dont get insurance you dont get your order? yeah maybe they it will just come really late
The opposite happened to me I ordered iRobot on blu-ray but they couldn't get stock for months so I got refunded and 3 months later Irobot was still delivered. Quite suprising haha.

I've had a real mixed bag from CDWOW. If its in stock then its dispatched right away. If not then it can takes weeks to be sent.

Most of my stuff from them takes 2 weeks but sometimes it is longer I never use them when I'm in a hurry

It does work with some pre-orders (like one of the Darksiders pre-orders for PS3 and XBox 360), and concerning the time it takes to get items, I have to say I have experienced this too, however as long as it hasn't shipped yet I have always been able to cancel the ordering of an item (normally I have done this if during the time it has taken them to get it in I have found it on special cheaper or for the same price somewhere else).

Great prices and all, but shipping times are ridonculous. It gets a bit tiring having to chase them up with issues like this.

Exactly the same here. My Xbox360 L4D2 was dispatched on the 22nd and I haven't received it yet. However the PS3 God of War Collection which was dispatched on the 24th arrived at my door today.

Yeah, when they say they're getting stock in, it's tricky to know when because I guess they got to find the stock first. Best to stick to items that they say are in stock for the quickest. Buying out of stock items should be for when there's a good price. If it's an old DVD or something, sometimes they're harder. I bought an old DVD as a joke for a friend, and it took a bit longer to get since it wasn't in stock.
GTA4 deal's really good though. I played that game to death. Should've kept it though, I traded it in before the DLC came out. Has anyone played those and recommend it?
I think everywhere's going to be tough ordering online with Christmas and all…but the shops are so…far…away…

I've only had 1 problem with CDWOW which they solved quickly. I ordered a hardcover book that didn't arrive in 3 weeks so they sent another one. I ended up receiving both of them.
Have had 10 orders with CDWOW and only that 1 order was a little late.

The 12% isn't storewide - its from their 'Christmas Stores' section… still plenty of items in it though (essentially a 'recommend a gift' system, so there are stacks of products included). Still, a few good bargains in there, so a positive vote for this deal :)
And as I've said many times before, you're better us using the US website (www.cdwow.us) as they have the same deal running at the moment, but with the AU$ doing so well, the US prices work out cheaper…

Just curious, how does the NTSC games fare on a PAL PS3?
PS3 is region free meaning it can handle any format for games (not DVDs though)
CDWOW has one of the worst shipping times. Free shipping means nothing. Any items that is not in stock stating 7-10 working days means back order do not expect this for up to 3 months. Any items in stock takes ages to arrive double or triple the time it takes, not reliable.
Hence this deal is not great.
Completely agree. Ive been waiting well over 1 month for several items i bought and currently in the process of a paypal dispute. Emailed them more than 10 times with no reply. They don't provide any contact details on their site either.
Beware, and do some research before buying from them.
i emailed them about a blu ray disc i ordered which was despatched on the 21/11 and have still not received it and they dont even reply
