I'm heading to the US next month and thinking about picking up a laptop there. What store did you purchase from and what was the approx price difference between buying there and here (for that Asus) and after conversion?
I always keep $2000+ USD in cash. This was money saved up from when the AUD/USD = $1.06.
I bought it from Walmart and I also bought a bunch of other electronic devices from Amazon. It will always work out to be cheaper unless we go below 0.60 cents. lol
Any bargains?

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/desktops/lenovo/…You'd have to really really want the AIO form factor, considering around $400 buys you the touch monitor, leaving $1,000 for the tower, which would be a lot better than that graphics card and a basic i5
Thanks for your input. I was looking for something with less clutter, less power consumption and to attach a second monitor. To be honest I don't even want the touch screen. I guess I'll do some more research before buying. Thanks
For your use, something like this would be great. http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/rrg
Get 2x Dell P2414H monitors, one via Mini Displayport > DP cable and one via DVI > HDMI adapter.
Edit: Forgot the Operating System! Even dropping to a 120GB SSD to save some cash!
Thanks Xe, Thats a great idea! Will have to do some research on these.
You will drop to a dual core, but the SSD will make the NUC feel faster than that all in one.
If you're just going about your daily business on the machine and not doing a lot of video editing or other very CPU intensive tasks, it will definitely feel a lot faster!
Good luck!
Guhh…..bloody inflated AU prices. Just came back from the states and bought an ASUS UX303 for like half the price for a friend.
