Know your credit card insurance policys?

Hey,

My internet is stupid slow so I thought maybe someone can answer of the top of the head

Do any of these cards have some kinda Insurance so I dont need to pay additional insurance on shipping items for damage or lost in transit?

Im shipping a large Item interstate. worth about $2k that is has some fragile parts like glass, Just wondering if can get out of it without paying for additional insurance by paying for both shipping and item with a certain card

Im pretty sure the amex qantas discovery card has some kinda if the item is lost stolen or damaged in 1st 90day they will cover it, although im not sure if its in this type of situation

    Haven't head of any cards offering extra insurance for items you ship. I've read quite a few policies (obviously not all) and I've never seen it.

    Only coverage would be for an item you purchased (using the card) and it was shipped to you.

      I think he's actually purchasing it - but has just worded his question poorly.

        Ah, then there could be coverage… but they should thoroughly read the PDS for the insurance for each card. They'll all be different and will have plenty of exclusions.

    Yeh I bought an item and having it shipped,

    probally should have been in bed at 1am not ozbargaining:)
