Yamaha YAS-152 Front Surround Soundbar $198 @ Harvey Norman Outlet QV Vic (RRP $499)

70

Had a quick look around the Harvey Norman Outlet QV (on ground floor) and found this beauty. Would have bought if I hadn't already bought another Soundbar from a previous deal.

Don't have a picture sorry, will have to trust me on this one.

  • Was a bit cheaper a year ago on COTD

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/167044

    • Note COTD deal does not include shipping, think this is in store only.

    • COTD deal was $198.95 with shipping (I bought one :). So the current deal is not too bad if you can pick it up.

I'm interested to know how well those little subs work.

  • Good price indeed but gets pretty mixed reviews. One review I just saw said that midrange (dialogue etc) was pretty muffled.

  • At $198 this would be the best sound bar around in terms of audio quality and performance. Just make sure your telly is >= 55" or it kinda looks funny when the sound bar overhangs. IIRC they had (still have?) at Costco but I'm unsure of price point.

  • I have one, it is perfect for me. Sound is great. Bass is great when turned up to full for movies and perfect for TV at half way. Though i am just the average user with no experience with this stuff…. I use a BENQ W1070 projector with a 80 inch screen.

Not sure how successful that's going to be with only optical input.

    • One does not simply expect full surround sound from a Soundbar.
