Memory stick-at least 5GB

Hi, I live on the North end of the Gold Coast. Looking for a good buy on a memory stick. Anybody got any tips?

  • Maybe head into Aldi this Thursday for the 8GB stick that's only $19.99: http://aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/58_11095.htm

As usual it's only while stocks last.

  • and make sure to keep the rceipt and dont put anything that you have a problem losing on the usb key

not saying they are bad but sometimes they fail wether cheap or expensive

    • i have over 10 USBs, and the office has 20-30. I've only ever seen 2 fail. There were promotional "give away" USBs that were formatted for "printing usb drives".

Having said that, everyone should have 2 backups of everything.

  • This thread indicates Aldi gives a 3 year warranty on it: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/17707

It also has some other alternatives including 9289 or MSY…

  • Isn't the original poster talking about Sony's Memory Stick(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_stick)? Or was he/she talking about a generic USB flash drive?

  • Thanks everybody for your advice. I did find that Aldi special and will be rocking up there on Thursday when they are first offered. Three year warranty is good. I will make sure I have another copy of info in case I lose on the stick. When I put 5GB, I didn't know there is only 4 or 8. Thanks again.
