Purina Supercoat Dry Dog Food $15 8kg, $25 10kg at Woolworths + 10th Bag Free (Everyday Rewards)

30

Saw this on Woolworths' website and local weekly catalog.

Purina Supercoat Dry Dog Food

  • $15/8kg (~$1.9/kg) or $25/10kg ($2.5/kg). I have checked other online stores but I believe Woolworths has the best offers for these dog foods.
  • BigW has them for $25/12kg (~$2.1/kg) at my local store and $36/12kg ($3/kg) on their website.

10th Bag Free with Everyday Rewards Card

  • "Purchase an 8k or 10kg bag of Supercoat Dry Dog Food and get the 10th bag FREE when you scan your Everyday Rewards Card. Valid from 19/11/14 - 07/11/15. In-store purchases only. Everyday Rewards Card must be scanned at time of purchase and when collecting free bag." see pic here and syba's comment

For dogs (from a dog lover).

I think the deal is until sometime in 2016.
Why would anyone buy the 10kg when it's cheaper per/kg to get the 8kg bags.

    • I can't confirm when this deal ends because I saw it in Woolies website and their weekly ads. So I guess it'll end next Tuesday.

About the prices, I just listed all the discounts here so everyone can decide which price is best for them, though I'd go for 8kg bags for a cheaper price and possibly get 10th bag free sooner than if I buy the 10kg bags.

Presume you don't need to buy 10 bags all at once, but 10 bags in total before 7 November 15 (as long as you buy them in store and swipe you EDR card each time)

    • Exactly what I thought. Thanks!

      • I meant the get 10th bag free deal is until 2016.

        • I asked a staff there and he confirmed that the "10th bag free" promotion ends on 07 Nov 15 as stated in the picture I uploaded.

  • i'm pretty sure that the Julius Gold dog food sold at Aldi is rebranded supercoat. it is always less than $2/kg (4kg for around $7.50 I think).

    • Because there's no ALDI store in NT so I can't check for the price and the formula of Julius Gold dog food.

      • Don't bother buying aldi dog food. I bought a bag and no dogs I knew would eat it. Not my dogs, my mother in laws dog or her neighbour's dogs would eat it.
Not even the birds that steal my dogs food would eat that stuff.

        • Is it really that bad? My dog can eat almost everything I throw at him so he may eat it. :)

        • @721411: I thought the same thing before aldi came and proved me wrong. My mother in laws dog is a bit fussy, but her neighbours dogs eat anything, except Julius dog food

i think @katiedonnelly missed the point. aldi julius gold IS supercoat. made at the nestlé (purina) factory. same ingredients. even the packaging looks almost the same.

those birds and dogs (that "allegedly" eat supercoat, but not julius gold) must snobbiest animals on the planet.

    • Back in my home country, if my dogs didn't eat the food I gave to them, I'd smack the **** out of them or left them starve till they had no choice but to eat that food. (I know the food well, they're nutritious and healthy for dogs too). But here in AUS, I can't do that. It's against the law.

I just don't want to spoil my dogs with luxury stuff though.
