Once there was an elephant,
Who tried to use the telephant—
No! No! I mean an elephone
Who tried to use the telephone—
(Dear me! I am not certain quite
That even now I’ve got it right.)
Howe’er it was, he got his trunk
Entangled in the telephunk;
The more he tried to get it free,
The louder buzzed the telephee—
(I fear I’d better drop the song
Of elephop and telephong!)

    • Main issue is that their stated capacity isn't their actual capacity. I know in one model the 3500mAh is actually 2800mAh. Fortunately Elephone aren't as bad as Ulefone and Umi in that regard.

      • Yes I agree with this. The P2000 has been noted in at least one review (gizchina iirc) that the battery is too light and not enough longevity to be as stated.

We bought a 6000mah for $15 in Bali last week to keep it going. As illumination said, a remedy.

But, at least replacement batteries can be bought for it.

        • Yep, I picked up the Elephone P3000S (3GB Version) for a really good price and found that to be the case. Fortunately the spare batteries are like $20 and with the amount of Xiaomi power bank promotions… well it's not really an issue :P

  • This or zenfone 2 .So no good for Vodafone 4g I think it uses band 3 and 5.

  • +3

Contacted them today about postage and I got this reply:

"Thanks for your order with Everbuying. Sorry for the late reply.

We are very sorry to inform you that the item you ordered is unavailable at the moment, could you please change for the other item? If yes, please give us the link of the replacement, we will change for you."

So I am guessing everyone else that ordered this phone will have it "cancelled"?

Bait and switch in all its glory…..

    • Wtf

    • They told me to wait a couple of days and they will be positing it

      • +1

They told me it was out of stock.

They said they refunded the money.

Good luck with getting this item.

I wont be doing any more business with this lot.

        • Yeah fingers crossed that's for sure. I just logged in to check on order status and it's still at 'processing' stage.

  • Extra vote just for the elephant song :)

  • Out of stock, paid for express shipping and they said stock wont be in for at least another week

    • Can they just send it to you next week when they get stock then?

      • If it's only a week I'll be happy to wait.

        • That's exactly what I'm thinking… maybe jamezb is going overseas before then and won't receive it in time or something..

        • @illumination: or because he paid for express shipping but has to wait anyway.

  • I got a message saying my item is ready and they will let me know the shipping number when it is sent. It doesn't say when it will be sent though.

    • At least you got a message. I'm still waiting for a response for the ticket I raised last Thursday.

      • Try Sending them another message.

      • I've sent two messages now over the past 5 days which have both been unanswered regarding shipping. It's been 8 or 9 days now, starting to feel like a scam.

      • +1

This is also happening to me. Submitted 2 tickets and both unanswered. Got fed up and cancelled the order. Then I spoke to someone on livechat and was told they are currently out of stock and more will be coming within 3-7 days. I said I was happy to wait and asked to have my cancellation request ignored. Operator from livechat said she would handle that. A few hours later I get a response to my cancellation request saying they have actioned my request and will process my refund. I'm like wtf?

These guys are so dodgy. Not gonna purchase from them again.

        • I got a reply. They said they have had problems with their supplier and will receive stock to ship on the 19th June. Farrrrrkk, the phone will be obsolete by the time it arrives. I had to go with the 10-25 business days shipping option to avoid paying an extra $3o for shipping.

        • I got a shipping number today, hopefully all goes well and I receive the phone within 25 business days.

        • @onetwothree:
Nice, wish I could say the same! Hope it comes quick for you.

        • @onetwothree: 25 business days? :S

        • @sylon: yeah but I knew that already and I'm not in a hurry. One thing though, I tried the tracking number on the shipping company's website and it's not recognised, it's probably because it has only just been sent and hopefully it will be updated in the next day or two. Other people's comments have got me worried!

        • for interest sake when did you buy this?

          mine was 06/03/2015 13:53:12 PM
still sitting in processing also with support tickets unanswered

        • @HFB: 06/04/2015 07:54:05 PM, looks like last in, first out. I'm still unsure whether it will turn up or not even though they've given me a tracking number.

        • @HFB: I ordered mine roughly the same time as you. I never got a response until I spoke to someone on livechat.

  • Still waiting here. No response to the ticket. Not happy seeing as my interim phone just died.

  • I sent an email a week ago asking if they had stock as is this is the second time a supplier from China has advertised and had no stock. They did not reply so I raised a dispute with Paypal. This was the only thing that made them get in touch. Basically they didn't have any stock and didn't know when they would. So refunded. Never again.

  • Mine is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

    • wow that was quick, when did you order it?

      • Over two weeks ago. Should be here this afternoon.

  • Just ordered mine two days ago with express shipping, really hope it gets here on time …

  • Still waiting for mine to be sent. They are meant to have more stock on the 19th of June. If I don't hear any positive news by Monday I'm going to ask for a refund.

  • FYI sent them a message and they told me it would ship in 2 days. That was almost 4 days ago. Another message has been sent, not hopeful.

    • Yeah they are full of shit. They change their story all the time. I wouldn't shop with these shonks again.

  • Tried contacting the service center by posting a ticket and still no answer after 24hr, I have already bought from this website before (usually $2 $3 items) and they are definitely not fast at answering nor shipping, but I'm hoping that this phone will show up on time

  • Have mine in my hand right now. It is really nice but having some issues setting it up. I can make calls no problem but cant do much else. Trying google now for tips but seems hard to find.

    • interesting, who's your provider? or is it a problem with the phone?

      • Amaysim. Followed all the instructions on their site and still no internet. Will have to give them a call. Was able to make and receive calls/texts fine.

        • I'm with vaya, hopefully it works ok

  • Nevermind. Got it working. Turned out to be pretty basic. Very happy except for the slow dispatch time.

    • Did you have to harass them over customer service to dispatch the phone ? haha

      • +1

I did write to them a few times so I suppose it worked!

        • +1

I'm doing the same thing, but still, no one is answering my tickets :(

  • Mine is still in transit, hope it comes soon.

    • They processed shipping for me, but didn't actually dispatch for a few days. I almost cancelled so many times but held out and happy I did.

      • I kept harassing them and they have finally said that my order has been packed and is ready to be shipped. They say to wait 2 days for an update email which will include a shipping tracking number etc. Hopefully this is all true!

        • mine was shipped 10 days ago but they say it will take up to 25 business days, I didn't pay extra for faster shipping.

        • @onetwothree:

Yeah I had to go with the same shipping option otherwise an extra $30. How is the tracking can you actually see it moving? I don't really trust these guys much. Not sure what type of setup they have but they have been lying just to keep me quiet. If they don't send it by Wednesday I will ask for a refund.

        • @superduper: tracking is not good, I have no idea where my phone is and when it's going to arrive but I know it's in transit.

  • So still no shipping, so I've opened a dispute with Paypal. Said they can either give me a free upgrade to expediated shipping to make up for the delay, or refund me.

Very glad I paid with Paypal!

    • Update: received a message blaming the delay on the dragon boat festival in China. Said they would organise shipping once I cancelled the dispute.

Needless to say I replied that I will cancel the dispute only when I receive confirmation the item has shipped.

      • Surely they could've just delivered it faster on one of their dragon boats ;)

  • 20 days since I ordered it. No replies as to the delay in delivery. Methinks it's time to cancel via Paypal

  • Was anyone able to talk to then on the live chat ? Whenever I try to open it it says that it's outside their business hours

  • Still waiting for it to be sent…… 20 days later. Will send another message tomorrow if I don't hear anything

  • +1

I received my phone today, it's waiting at the post office for me. Hopefully my wife will be able to pick it up for me tomorrow. I'll let you know if there's any problems with it.

    • How is it? Still waiting for them to send mine. Sent another message this morning, no reply yet.

  • Finally received a confirmation email that it has been shipped. Only took over 20 days, (profanity) me, I would avoid these guys in the future. They probably just marked it as shipped so I would stop messaging them.

    • +1

      Good to hear it!

I am using the phone but have just realized it takes a micro sim and my old phone has the big size sim in it. Doh! Won't be able to use it properly til I can get to a Vodafone shop at the weekend.

*edit there is a shop near me, just have to get there on the way home from work before 6pm tomorrow.

  • Well received a response to my Paypal dispute saying that they would only ship the phone if I cancelled the dispute. This mob is dodgy. I don't like being held to ransom, so have escalated is to a claim.

    Avoid.

    • Sounds like a tricky situation. I know that they have recently restocked the phone because they just sent mine.

      • Did you manage to get any answers from customer service ? I submitted 4 tickets and no answers also their live chat is never available :/

        • Yeah they did eventually answer all my tickets. It usually took over 24 hours to get a reply and they would always have some lame excuse in broken English.

        • @superduper: The first ticket I submitted was on the 16 and still no answer, weird

      • they SAY they've sent it you mean
I've sent 4 tickets got a reply to the first, no replies for the rest

        • +1

Yeah I was worried they were lying (if that's what you're implying?), but when I use the tracking number provided through the singpost site, it does recognise it as being in transit. So it's looking promising. I did let them know in my final message before it was sent how displeased I was with their service.

  • Update: finally got my money refunded. Yesterday they sent a message saying they were having issues with their supplier and that stock was still 8-10 days away, so if you're still waiting, sorry but you're going to be waiting even longer.

This was after telling me on the 15th it would ship within 2 days. I would not touch this mob again.

    • I'm expecting mine to arrive today or tomorrow. Early next week at the latest (based on the shipping time others have had). The tracking is not good, I wouldn't have a clue where it actually is.

It has been a very painful experience. I was also mad when during the waiting period they were sending me promotional emails advertising the phone for other ppl to buy that they were unable to send me and had no real idea when they would be able to send it.

    • @sauron256. How did you get the money refunded?

I've also been told to cancel my Paypal dispute first… but if I do close it on PayPal then, apparently, you cannot open another dispute for it.

Did you first cancel your paypal dispute as well? I'm sorta stuck as to what to do.
      1) Cancel dispute through Paypal & wait for reimubursement from company
      2) Stick with PayPal dispute and eveuntually get it from them

      Advice appreciated!

      • +1

Don't cancel the dispute! If you do there is no way to reopen it (short of contacting Paypal directly). If they tell you to cancel the dispute, tell them Paypal will cancel it automatically upon refund (this is what will happen). If they continue to refuse, escalate the dispute to a Paypal claim.

        Good luck!

EDIT: also, make sure you escalate to a claim before the dispute expiry date. Otherwise the dispute will auto close and you won't be able to re-open it.

        • Thanks Sauron. Thats what I thought as it seemed a bit fishy to be asking to cancel the dispute first then sending money after.

As I noted to them "I trust PayPal more than I trust you" whilst escalating it to a PayPal claim an hour ago.

Now to hunt for another cheap phone :(

Finally received my phone today. It looks really good. Happy with the phone but I won't ever buy through that company again. They were full of lies, if they had of told me the truth that they can't get stock until a certain date straight up and gave me an option, I would have been happy. But this whole 'wait 2 days and we will ship' every time I sent a message was bullshit. Ordered 3/6/15, received 7/7/15.

    • Hi..

You are lucky the phone arrived. I haven't got any phone nor any emails. Im sending Paypal a dispute about this order atm. I just want my money back now….

      • Very lucky from what I've been reading. Good luck, you might want to shoot some of the guys a message who have already successfully received a refund.
