You should add those to your post body. They are needed in order to be'a bargain'

    • +1

You should link directly to Amazon in the deal:

Reference epicbundle by all means but it's not their deal.

  • Daring act by Amazon to start summer sale a week earlier than Steam.

I'll wait for Steam. Really eyeing Ass Creed package.

Daring act by Amazon to start summer sale a week earlier than Steam.

They do it every year, as do GMG, Nuuvem etc.

I'll wait for Steam. Really eyeing Ass Creed package.

First rule of a Steam sale…check every other gaming site for cheaper Steam keys before buying from Steam lol!

      • check every other gaming site for cheaper

Is that like the 1st tenet of OzB? lOL!

      • +3

check every other gaming site for cheaper Steam keys

Or you could just check IsThereAnyDeal.

        • I want XCom Enemy unknown - Came up in my messages the other day that steam had it on sale at 75% off… problem being they bumped the price to $80 and then claimed 75% off… rip off arse holes!

        • @betheball:

It's showing $40 normal price and $10 sale price to me. With the bureau is the same price too $10.

Although I think the us version is even cheaper $7.50. From memory it's one of those games the publisher set a higher price for the au market. (Get an american friend to gift it to you and pay him back somehow).

          https://steamdb.info/app/200510/

          $80 is the complete pack.

        • @natsumezoku:
          Sorry, meant enemy within

        • @betheball:

Again might be the au price hike set by the publisher.

          https://steamdb.info/app/225340/

Seems like the american version of the complete pack is only 67% off though.

DLC enemy within alone price for americans is $10, for us $16.49 (both prices are usd).

I'm sure there are other ways to get around it to get the US price but my way is easier for me.

        • @betheball:

          https://www.steamprices.com/au/sub/37429/xcom-enemy-unknown-…

Found a better website. It's definitely the publisher ripping of au customers.

Usually you spot it but seeing the prices on the us site, then you log in with your account and it suddenly jumps to the au price. It doesn't happen on most games but some it does.

Seems the brits get it even cheaper in this case.

          Complete edition:
          Au 19.99usd
          Us 12.49usd
          Uk £ 6.24 (9.5usd)

  • I still don't get it. You're linking to another bargain site…

  • +1

    Hey all,
Anyone able to link me to a forum or whatever to get an amazon account located in states etc? cheers :) (forgive my ignorance and or stupidity)

    • +1

You can just setup an account and doesn't matter where you say you're located. When you're buying the product make sure it is a digital sale and just google an American address and use that. Amazon will then just send you a product key via email

    • You guys are all awesome. Thanks muchly :)

      Need a US address?

This is the Hilton Hawaii Village
2005 Kalia Rd, Honolulu, HI 96815, United States
      +1 808-949-4321

Used this as my billing address.

  • +3

Be sure to use a US address with a state that has no sales tax. For example Oregon.

    Assassin's Creed Rouge

Thanks OP, I've been waiting for this. Some people say they've run out of good ideas for settings for the AC games, and that this unconventional Paris Moulin Rouge in 1900 setting is scraping the bottom of the barrel, but I for one am intrigued by the possibilities of playing a French courtesan assassin.

  • Anyone had success in buying? I tried but it didn't work as they wanted a US credit card

    • +1

Haven't bought these titles, but bought some DLC for Far Cry 4 with my US address and Australian credit card.
I simply had to update my billing address, and was ready to go.

EDIT: Just bought AC: Rogue with no issues at all.

      • Crap, I'm after xcom enemy within, but it won't let me. Might be 2K games…. Might have to try the gift card way with no credit card attached to the account later on

        • +1

Ah, you might be right. I vaguely remember there being some outrage earlier in the year about 2K enforcing regionlocks for their games on Amazon.
I'd bought XCOM: Enemy Within a year ago on Amazon, but I notice they have added the following on the store page:
"Requires Steam Client to activate. Steam key only valid in North America."
So, it may be region locked in Steam even if you get to buy it on Amazon.

FWIW, The Blue Droid has a worldwide key for roughly the same price

        • @Magpye:

Awesome, you're a legend. I'll get it there. Thanks

        • +1

          @Magpye:

Just in case you didn't have the other DLCs yet, them bluedroid folks also have the complete edition

XCOM Enemy Unknown The Complete Edition

        • Can't seem to edit my earlier comment.

Looks like you can get the complete edition from Gamer's Gate too. Even cheaper as it's showing up as US$10.

Unfortunately I don't know how long their sale will last.

Just in case anyone else is in search of XCOM the complete edition,

I found myself making a noob mistake and having a key for sale.

@tebbybabes: Good spotting ! Blue Droid has been good to us with their deals.

    • +5

For about the last 6 months, some companies like 2K have pressured Amazon into disallowing purchases from anyone with a non-US credit card. Fake addresses and even VPNs are of course unable to prevent this despicable geoblocking. The fake address trick still works for the majority of games sold on Amazon for now though. I have heard that Nuuvem has begun to block Hola IPs as well :( I'm sick of being ripped off and discrimated against by rich, evil corporations simply because I live in Australia.
