Easy to set up

The Unify® intelligent integration system makes it easy to get your system up and running. It walks you through set up, step by step. As you connect components to the console, the system recommends the best connectors via onscreen messages—and even lets you know you’ve made the right connection.
Easy to use

Unify® technology also simplifies programming your Bose® universal RF remote to control your Lifestyle® system and most anything attached to it. During set up, the Unify® system identifies each connected component, and automatically teaches the Bose® remote to control it. It even works when you hide the console or components away behind the doors of your entertainment center. Plus, you’ll view system information on the Bose® remote’s LCD screen.

And once you’re set up …

Once your set upYou’ll experience riveting surround sound for everything you watch. These systems feature sleek speakers that have been redesigned with a slimmer profile. They can be mounted flush to the wall with an optional bracket, so they better match flat-panel TVs. With precisely angled transducers inside the speaker, the output is something you’d expect from speakers many times their size. That performance is complemented by an Acoustimass® module that can be placed in a corner or out of view. Exclusive technology in the module helps provide the emotional intensity you feel at the theater or in a concert hall. Even hidden out of sight, its impact can’t be missed.

i listen to AM radio on my bose surround sound.

The only Bose products I'd buy (personally) are their noise cancelling headphones. Their speakers aren't bad, but way overpriced for what they are.

  • Sydneyhifi do a deal on B&W HTM62

    Love your showroom

    • isn't it better to get a pair of 685's or the cm centre? Reviews say the htm62 and 61 suffer from horrible off axis performace… been holding out on buying this. Not sure if the series 2 are better

      • I have a pair of 685 S2 which are brilliant .. I have a Gallo TR1-D sub with it.. which I think rounds off the speakers base really well. Not many reviews out there for HTM62 S2, there are a few which don't have anything bad to say about it..I have auditioned it and found it to be good. Of course CM s2 is much better but it is expensive as well

        • Wow didn't realise the 61 was that expensive lol. Honestly if you were looking for a centre, i'd go for another pair of 685 s2. Theres nothing better than 3 identical speakers in front. Timbre would be absolutely perfect.

That being said, I have been using 685's as a centre with my 683 absolutely perfect apart from the placement and vertical space it takes up. I'd probably just scout for a good deal on 684's for rears

      Paradigm

      • Love my Paradigms

        • same here. Bought them over 8 yrs ago and still going strong.

        • @ilsan: I bought mine a few years ago and still doing great. Although my Sub won't auto-stand by anymore but that may be an issue with my amp. Onkyo NR-818 and Paradigm SE1 5.1

        • @Keef:

Hmm could be the case mate. I recently updated my Amp to Yamaha Aventage.
Its driving the speakers even better than my old Amp.

Pretty happy with this setup. I am no audio buff though.

If you want small speakers have a look at Bowers & Wilkins M1 speakers, this paired with either the Bowers & Wilkins ASW608 or ASW610 sub woofer and a with an AV receiver with around 80 to 90 watts per channel will work brilliantly. we have this equipment on our website.

I knew you won't try to sell Steve Bose, you have restored my faith in your showroom.. now please do a deal on the B&W centre it is time for me to upgrade

        • Currently 15% off B&W!

      • Yeah I highly recommend the M1 from my experience anyhow. Good price at $270 I am sure I paid more at Video Pro.

    • +1

for that much cash, I would buy a nice receiver, B&W 685 S2 bookshelfs, a SUB and a Centre speaker.. there should be still cash left for Campbells soup

In defense of Sydney Hifi they won't sell you Bose unless you want it, visit their showroom it is absolutely fantastic and they have sme very high end gear. I forgot the name of the guy I dealt with when I bought my stuff from them few months ago. but they are quite good.

    • give us a call we will look after you!

  • LOL…but it's all about the 'lifestyle' right?

Just saying for under $3000, I got myself a flagship Sony DA5800ES receiver with a 9.2 speaker array. You can buy a lot of Hi-Fi or home cinema for $4000.

  • I will buy it if I strike the $50 million powerball tonight.

  • If you have no idea what to do with all your money then buy this.
If you have some money and must have nice sound then probably better to get Yamaha or other nice brand in wall/ceiling speakers.

  • I'm interested in buying Kharma Exquisite Extreme and was trying to add this item in the cart https://www.sydneyhificastlehill.com.au/shop/floorstanding/k…

but I'm not sure if the price listed is for ONE speaker (like Amazon US) or ONE PAIR. I'd also like to know if I could pay off the item with ING Paywave in $ 100 per transaction as I get 2% rebate for purchases under $ 100.

  • Rep, I am after the 535iii or 535ii if you still have them. FYI I'm sure you already know but there is a certain shop in Northern NSW and a couple in Sydney also (all Bose authorised) that always have these for $3,950. So with that said, what's the deal you'll do for ozbargainers?

To give you a guide - at the moment I'm about to pull the trigger this way. Get Myer or DJs to price match any of those stores, and then pay using gift cards which I can grab at 15% off face value. That means I can get 535iii for $3,357.50. I also have close friends working at both Myer and DJs and could ask them to apply a further 5% staff discount on top for me, though I'm not sure if they can when doing price matches (essentially a double dip).

So whats holding me back: 1) I'd prefer to purchase from a specialist store for ongoing support etc, 2) I want someone local, 3) I would rather pay via credit card as mine has a whole heap of purchase protections including free doubling of the manufacturer's warranty. So you think you can do me a sweet deal?

  • $3357.50 is well below my purchase price. I understand that all resellers buy this product at the same price so if Myer or DJ's are prepared to loose money good on them!

If you cant get the same price via the before mentioned stores we are happy to help. Give me a buzz in store to discus store pick up or delivery pricing.

    • Appreciate you getting back to me mate. To be clear Myer/DJs won't be losing as they dont give the 3.3k price (and never would), that's via me using cheaply sourced gift cards. They just match to 3.9k.

Anyway I should have been clearer but what I meant from the above spiel was that I am happy to pay a small premium above the 3.3k for the advantages I mentioned.

I'll give you call to discuss when back in Sydney next week. Call and ask for Biggs?

      • Yea no problem!

  • Ok, they sound reasonable and are discrete, but problems I have found with it - all the cabling is BOSE specific so you will find it very tricky adding other branded stuff to it. Just adding HDMI ports (an grand total of 2, cost about $500 and that was by hunting high and low for a cheap source). Recently had the power supply in the Acoustimass die - $480 to repair. I wish my client had asked me what to buy before getting it.
