Syma X5c-1 Quadcopter AU $50.44 or AU $65.91 without/with Transmitter Delivered from Gearbest

10

Syma X5c-1 (the latest model) quad-copter is at it's all-time lowest price ever at Gearbest Now. I remember the previous deal for this got good reviews from Ozbargainers. So assuming it's a good buy.

And here is the description copy pasted from Gearbest

Main Features:

  • 2.4GHz control system, 6 axis gyro
  • 2.0MP 720P HD camera equipment
  • 360 degrees 3D eversion and throwing flight function
  • High stability during flight
  • With light, suitable for flying in the dark at night
  • Built-in a 3.7V 500mAh li-poly battery
  • Suitable for both indoor and outdoor flying
  • Latest quadcopter, suitable for children above 14 years old

Note:

  • The difference between X5C and X5C-1 is just the package size, their product parameters are the same.
  • We sell only X5C-1 so buyers can save on international shipping fees.
  • The difference between X5C - 1 and X5C-1 BNF Version is just the package list ( The obvious difference is that BNF version has no transmitter ), their functions are the same.

Update: Oops looks like this doesn't come with a transmitter. They have two SKUs for X5c-1 one states no transmitter and camera in title and this one. It's not clear if transmitter is included in this one. Please comment if you know the difference.

Update2: The transmitter is available for purchase seperately at AU$15.47. This brings the totoal cost including transmitter to around $66 which is cheaper than the one advertised with transmitter at AU$73.48 and cheaper than the previous deal.

  • Bought one a few mths ago thru gearbest - mine was RTF with included transmitter ($50 USD then)
Surprisingly easy to fly, camera not worth bothering about
Limited transmitter range so fly in a large field for safety margin as its slow to respond at the limits
Get spare batteries although some of them tend to swell which is a worry
    Overall, the perfect first quadcopter

    • That's the one thing stopping me from getting a quad, I'm so paranoid about cheap LiPos

      • All LiPo's need to be treated with care. Not just cheap ones.

Don't leave them fully charged if you aren't going to use them within a day or so, discharge them a little for storage(about a third), don't sit them on a combustible material whilst charging and don't leave them unattended whilst charging.
        Safety is simple.

  • Great little quad. Flies quite well without the camera attached and in expert mode. Crashed it about 50 times, and its still working a treat.
