These look good, but honestly just sit in the most ergonomic chair you can find, and it'd probably cost you about ~200 to ~250 instead of close to 300.
Or if you're really investing, get a 600+ dollar seat.
And dont buy a chair from Officeworks ever, Ive bought cheap ones and expensive (Up to about $400) and they've ALL been crap, the expensive one was fine until the metal in the base broke… after like 2 years.
My chair has been great from officeworks.
$14.95 for the 3 year extended warranty. My chair broke 2 years into it, I got a new chair. I then purchased a new 3 year warranty for $14.95 and will hopefully get a new chair within the 3 year warranty period.
Free chairs basically.
I don't know if these are a gimmick but it would make sense if they are.
Gaming is no different to any other work you do in a chair, and there aren't any non gaming chairs with weird features like this.
I would definitely try one out first… If its as good as they say then non gamers should be buying them.
Honestly the reason why people give these chairs "good reviews" is because the customers that buy these have only ever sat on couches or fold up chairs before. So when they invest into a proper chair that has decent support, lumbar rests and arm rests they rave about it like it is the best thing ever.
There are far better office chairs for this price bracket.
Could you show me some?
Alera Elusion is a very popular office chair for ~$200

Your first example is not readily available in Australia, whilst the second is $400.
Sorry but what person who uses a computer sits on a couch?
I would say these chairs are marked up slightly to cash in on the "gamer brands" much like Razer, Logitech etc. There's cheaper alternatives but those cheaper alternatives don't usually have the design and marketing behind them.
Is there a place in Melbourne to try them out?
Its tough to drop 300+ on something without trying it out.
I'm in the same boat, I emailed them once a while back, they said there isn't anywhere in Melbourne or Victoria even but that I'd have to come down to their Sydney store/HQ to try it, which is just not worth the cost regardless of method.
These cowboys are awful to deal with… Just buy your chair from PCcasegear, they are a much better group to deal with.
You guys really need to open more show rooms or start dealing with more local retailers so people can try properly before they buy. I've gone through too many computer chairs (and even desks) trying to find the right 1, I've bought office chairs that cost around $300+ and they didn't even have adjustable arm rests, others just wear out too fast and the cushioning goes flat or they're the comfiest I can get for the price which is usually not that comfy but I'm not gonna sit on the floor. The DXRacers seem to have all the features I'm after in a chair but not gonna drop a couple hundred only to find I don't like it and I don't want to pay the shipping costs to return them, over and over till I find the right 1.
Where can I try such chairs out in brisbane?
