I was going for few seconds going, wha? I thought it was 10400mAh. Then went on the Gearbest website and the website said it was a new model.
Went onto check the Xiaomi website, and indeed, Xiaomi did release a 10000mAh one, http://www.mi.com/dianyuan10000/.

Looks good, brand new Xiaomi 10k mAh battery that is meant to be slimmer and lighter than the 10.4k power bank.

It was announced and released just a week ago.

Pity Mushtato don't have any stock yet, I don't like two month waits from GearBest.

    • +2

Just received my 5000mAh from Banggood only took like 2-3 weeks.

      • +1

Banggood, GearBest, AllBuy, not keen on any of these anymore.

I've learnt personally that I would rather pay another $5 for shipping within 2/3 days than wait 3 weeks and have a 30% chance of having to contact "customer service" to see where my item went.

        • So far I have no problem with Banggood, I have them send to my business address always have somebody there.

        • Agreed I've bought from all 3 and they have been 4-6 week wait times

    • Damn… I just bought a 5000mAh one for travel cos the 10400mAh one is too heavy to carry around :( this would have been perfect

    • It's actually a little thicker by the looks of it.

  • GearBest have the 16000mah one on sale for about $25 at the moment, if you've got the need and time to wait. http://www.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_144271.html

I'm hoping that Mushtato drop their prices a bit more though.

    • Sorry i am not familiar with this company or any of the others mentioned in this thread. Why is everyone saying that you need to wait, is there a back order on the item? It is listed as in stock.

Can shipping from china take 2 months??

      • shipping time of 4-6 is not uncommon. Some of these companies do take a while to send as well (ie. a week). Sometimes it will be sooner, sometimes later. If you're not in a rush, it's not a big deal, but I wouldn't order one if you're planning on using it in a month on a holiday.

  • This really makes you wonder how much the profit margin is on battery products.. e.g a li-ion ASUS laptop battery is $110 yet a power bank this large is only $19 AUD delivered via air mail…

    • +1

You ever cracked those laptop batteries open? It's just an array of AA batteries soldered together.

      • +2

I have, and that's exactly what I put into my DIY power bank. 18650 batteries harvested from old lappie battery.

    • Like the 5000mAh one only HK$69 so RRP only like A$10 and I bought it for $16.

Remember that is HK RRP and is cheaper from China.

That Asus battery you linked is 14.8V.. so 4 times the voltage. Makes it roughly double in capacity to the Xiaomi.

Yes still a fairly hefty markup.. but its a more specialized "custom" unit from an Aussie retailer

  • Goddamn I just bought a 10400 for $25 which arrived yesterday.

  • It says $17.45 USD when you click on the link?

    • Coupon code: XM1000

  • Oh ok my bad.. Sorry. I'm so dumb.

  • What's shipping time to Australia? Will it arrive within a month?

  • +1

I'm getting message "This coupon has reached its usage number limit", and the price actually goes up to $18.87 by using this coupon now.

    • +1

same. seems like cheapest price is now without the coupon code

    • +1

when applying the coupon code when not logged in (you have to register to actually use the code) it makes the price jump up to that, not sure why but happened to me, not sure about the usage limit though

      • I tried it both ways signed in or not, same thing.

        • +1

yeah it's usage limit is reached, same thing happens with the price jumping up

    • Hi I just tried and code is still working

    • At some point in the transaction, US $ changes to AU$

  • I've got the 10400 model. I got it for a trip to USA and all the planes I was on had USB charging and i didnt use it. I also have a cheapie 5000 power bank one and it has a inbuilt LED light which I find useful.

The OP lists a range of compatible phones, but I would have thought you can charge anything that needs charging via usb?

Devices that I would like to charge include a OnePlusOne and Gopro.

    • +1

id day so, I can charge my wireless headphones with it

  • +2

Code wouldn't work on the desktop site, but did work on the mobile site!

  • Expired!

"This coupon has reached its usage number limit.
Coupon code can only be used with one piece price, it can not be used with vip price, special offer, group deal at the same time. "

  • Worked for me. Didn't work until I logged in, then no problems. Ordered via mobile at 1:45pm.

    • yep… seems to still work via mobile….

  • Worked for me on Chrome on my mobile while logged onto Gearbest, $24.76 down to $19.67 with coupon

With shipping does any ones know what "Australian Line Shipping" (around $5) is because they claim 3-8 days to arrival instead of the usual 10-25 days??

  • +1

just in case someone is looking to buy through mobile site but using the desktop browser - http://m.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_187685.html

using mobile screen is a bit difficult unless you have 5-6" screen (even then, its a pain)

  • Seems without the code, its 14.25 now

applied the code, before-price jumped up to 18.xx then discounted to 14.99

    ended up paying more….?
