Is there a beer shortage ?

      • +1

beer doesn't help you through an all nighter of studying like energy drinks do.

  • Is there anybody else on Ozbargain apart from me who's never even tasted Red Bull?

    • +1

Never had any energy drink and don't plan to yet.

    • Caffeine doesn't really do jack to me so I kind of treat these as a soft drink. It tastes nice haha. That said I don't drink these much at all, very unhealthy etc. V tastes like shit. Berry V and orange V are nice though!

      • My favorites are red bull and rockstar. The green Mother tastes like red bull but cheaper

        • Ah I'm so behind on energy drinks! Didn't even know there was a green mother. (Regular) Mother was my go to in uni. I called it the poor person's red bull. So this green one tastes even more like red bull???

    • I tasted it 10 yrs back and that was it. No red bull or energy drinks for me.

They were $4.99 at my local woolies. Also for those with the $10 off $30 spend this makes it around $3.33 per 4 pack!!! or around 83c per can!!!

    • Second that. It's actually advertised in the Sydney (maybe NSW?) catalogue at $4.99 for this week until next Tuesday.

  • $4.99 each at my local woolies

  • $4.99 as well in Perth

  • I tired to order 20 x 4 packs of the Red Bull Zero, but it only allows 4 of each 'flavour'. :(
I am addicted to Red Bull Zero and I buy it even when not on sale, but got uni assessments happening and also uni exams coming up and need extra. In fact, I just opened one while I work on my current assignment.

Ring them they can usually do it over phone

      • I sent my partner down to pick up my click and collect order (had a $10 coupon), and he is going to grab a few slabs if there is stock, otherwise I will clear out my other local store tomorrow.

Thanks op, was waiting for a deal to purchase for upcoming birthday party.

    • Now we need a special on Jager.

      • correct! or i also like;
Cointreau + Blue Curacao + Chambord!! Creates a skittle bomb!

        • +1

Sounds good, feel free to invite me to your birthday.

  • Aldi energy drink at one dollar. They don't taste that bad

And people should start considering caffeine pills . that's cheaper lol

Red bull is only good for uni parties. Jager and red bull…. Mmmmm

Wow this is a bargain! Great find agentayubi

  • I'm pretty sure I saw it at $4.99 in my local last night (Marrickville Metro, NSW)

  • 4.99 in Brisbane stores too

  • anyone like the Zero and the other flavours?

    • I tried Zero and though it was fine.
Not sure what the difference is meant to be between Zero and Sugarfree.

      • zero: no carbs/calories

        • Surely Sugarfree is also no cal, being artificially sweetened.

        • @coxymla: my can of sugarfree says it has 34kj of energy

      • Had a look and Sugarfree is 3 kCal versus Zero which is 1.8 kCal.

"Red Bull Zero Calories and Red Bull Sugarfree contain the same ingredients – caffeine, taurine and B-group vitamins. Red Bull Zero Calories gives consumers the choice to enjoy a product with a lower calorie content than Red Bull Sugarfree has and offers a new twist on the classic Red Bull flavour."

So Sugarfree is meant to taste the same. (like Coke Zero)
Zero is not. (like Diet Coke)

        Confusing.

        • it is!

i like the taste of zero and sugarfree (and better for my teeth) but neither of them have the same "feeling" of normal red bull :\
