Just from playing the basic tutorial level, I think I can say that the game runs alright on both devices that I've mentioned (though this might not be the case if the battle gets intense).

The touch interface is clunky and pretty much what you expect from a game that's been ported, but it's not completely playable. I think you'd definitely want a controller on a smaller screen (as there is less space for you to work with to begin with on phones compared to tablets).

There were lags here and there on Tab Pro, but it's probably my tablet being my tablet. Also, it looked slightly pixelated on my tablet, I think it's because of the WQXGA screen resolution. Though, tablet felt much better in terms of playability, the phone screen felt too small (though I think a controller would help a little).

I meant unplayable. The touchscreen is very clunky but not completely unplayable.

    • Are you suggesting that a WQXGA resolution is low?

      • I think it's something to do with upscaling. So in a way, I am suggesting the exact opposite.

        • Ah, understood. Cheers.

        • @inose: I honestly wanna root it and reduce the resolution when I am playing games. It probably is partially due to Dalvik on KitKat, but even then, I can feel the tablet suffering performance hits from having too high resolution.

It's perfectly fine for anything else though. High resolution is bad only when I am playing games or using resource intensive apps, at least for me. I am using Nova Launcher which I think is better than TW (I don't use the magazine UI), it feels lighter than TW Launcher for me.

  • I've played it on my Xperia Z2 tablet and Note 3, it's great.

  • For some reason it doesn't run on my Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) when it will on pretty much every other Samsung Tablet. Works perfectly on my Nexus 5 but would play better on a larger screen.

That's very weird, since it works on Tab Pro and Tab Pro is almost identical (other than slightly smaller RAM) to Note 10.1 (2014).
What android version is it running on?

      • Still on 4.4.2

No word on whether Lollipop is ever coming. It's sad that Samsung never really supported such a great device well. Still bitter that no one ever released a decent slimline keyboard for it either.

        • Hang in there? Note Pro lines are getting the lollipop (at least in certain regions at the moment), I think Note 10.1 2014 would be soon? I've been hearing news about Samsung testing Lollipop firmwares on Note 2014 from March at least, TabPRO isn't even on the list of firmware testing.

Or you can choose to root it and get a custom firmware, which isn't ideal and annoying since Samsung should be supporting their tablet lines more, but it's an option.

Yeah looks great on a 10" screen.

Also available on iOS for $3.79.

  • Worked just fine on a 2012 Nexus 7. Great game!

Tip for improving framerate if needed - in the graphics settings keep high quality graphics ticked but turn off shadows. Only a small change, but can almost double the framerate on some devices once you get past the intro and down onto planets.

Apparently the PC savefile works on Android version as well.

Also PC mods apparently work on Android version… Wow

    • PC mods working on Android is amazing.

If this also worked with something like GTA: SA it would be a dream come true.

      • I'd probably be careful since it's risky, but I think it's amazing.

I can confirm that the savefiles are interchangable at least. (As far as I see).

      • I have a perfect working CLEO version of GTA:SA on Android. (Perfect other than an occasional crash but all the Android GTA games have crashed occaisonally for this across multiple devices so I don't think it's CLEO).

Unsure if it's official (I didn't buy it) or a hack but it works just fine.

  • i wonder if the keyboard and mouse will work with this game on android.

i have 4.1 on my note 2 but its a roll back and some games that need 4.3 still work so i dont know what of 4.3 i still have installed on it that registers.

regardless a great price, and i think it should have been this price for a long time.

    • Keyboard doesn't work. Checked with a bluetooth keyboard, though I think the controllers might work.

      • dam that is no good.

i remember that i had a device that mimicked the ps3 controller on my ps3 but i could plug in a keyboard and mouse all you had to do was set the buttons on the keyboard to what you wanted them to do and away you go, it worked for every game and was great.

        • That might work… Since when the bluetooth keyboard is connected, it does recognise that a device is connected (the buttons display controller buttons with the bluetooth keyboard)

        • @AznMitch: well ill have to look into this now, ill see what other games i can sort this out with.

i have a BT keyboard and a wireless mouse plugged into the OTG cable.

  • Play Store says my Galaxy Note 2 isn't compatible but Aspyr website says it is :(

    • Yes, very frustrating. Still not compatible with the Note 2. Where did you find it on the Aspyr website? I found a comment from a developer in a reddit thread which said they weren't sure it was going to make it http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/2q44fa/star_wars_ko…

I don't understand how the S3 and older phones can make it, yet the note 2 is neglected…

      • You aren't missing much as it's very small and fiddly at times on my Note 3.
