EDIT: I know that this is slightly going off topic, but since the fake durex on groupon deal has been popping up on the comments a lot. I will just mention this. I think these are different from the Groupon deal because:

  1. Different retailer (Groupon vs COTD)
  2. Different manufacturer (Ansell vs Durex)
  3. The deal has been done by these guys beforehand (it's just repetition of what COTD usually do, and they've been doing it for a long time. i.e. Ozbargain page on the brand Ansell.) It's not like this is something new that COTD is trying to do.

Though, obviously, it's up to you to make final judgment.

EDIT 2: Regular is OUT OF STOCK, whereas everything other than regular is not.

I used one a day for a whole year… I then melted them down and made a tyre.

          I called it a Goodyear

**Youtube link, NSFW (sort of, an ad by Durex)

      • in the heat of the moment does anyone actually check the expiry?

        • They should. After expiry date, I think it's easier for them to break so yeah.
If you are using a condom, might as well take that additional step to make sure that it's functional (imo).
Why take away the fun, if you cannot be certain that it's for the safety?

        • +1

At these prices you could wear 2 or 3

        • @jimbaland: I've heard that doing that increases friction which makes the condom to tear easier.

        • +1

          @AznMitch:
That's why you apply deep heat between each layer. Burning sensation on the eye of your cock means your layer has broken and pull out, Burning sensation in your partners cha cha, then hold on and enjoy the ride.

        • Yes if you don't your pretty stupid… I don't mean to be offensive but If you go out and take one or two if you think you might use them it is always a good idea to check the expiry BEFORE you go out. That way should you be a bit drunk later and/or as you say in the heat of the moment forget to check you could get a nasty surprise later…

    • +3

Would be quite a bargain price for those cartels running a pack of drug mules.. although dollar savings would be the least of their concerns!

      • Problem with cartels is the king pin is sleeping on his cash and his lackys preping up the mules are using cheap ones or used ones from the brothel side business, which normally leads to mid flight burstin and ODing.

Different manufacturer, different retailer and the deal has been around for awhile, if you look at the deals on the brand Ansell on Ozbargain.

Though, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

Just a tip from someone who may or may not have owned this box before. Make sure you have someone to use them with before you splurge out and buy it. And if you don't, it's not a good look when you reach into the massive box….

    • +7

Why? Because they noted that there were still 143 in the box and you were holding the other, or you reached into the empty box and said, "oops, all out… has been a big few days…"

    • +21

Tell us more about the massive box they come in 😁

      • -1

        Hear, hear

      • +2

Oh, condoms go inside a box? I've been putting them other places.

        • +3

          uhhh, that's the whole idea.
If you're not sticking it in a box, no need for a condom

        • +1

          @effgee:

The last time I stuck one in a box, it turns out I didn't actually need one at all. I recommend being sober when you store your condoms.

          @effgee:

If you're not sticking it in a box, no need for a condom

          That's not entirely accurate.

        • The video that loads automatically after this one had me in tears. Not so much the first Itchy Pu55y, but #2 and #3. The look on Jerry's face and the look on the doctor's face - priceless.

  • Sucks that COTD dont ship to PO Boxes… Otherwise this would have been an awesome deal!

    • +6

Show us you are the man by shipping it to your work place.

      • My work is using po box as well unfortunately

        • I assume you don't work inside a box

    • +1

      Start using these
      http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/parcel-lockers.html
I did so a month or so ago because I was never home around the times parcels came for delivery and they are really useful.
      And its free!

      • hmm, no parcel locker close to me but parcel collection is available at the PO office, Im guessing its the same service just not 24/7.

        So If I get a http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/parcel-collect.html
I can get COTD and other online stores to ship to that usually dont ship to PO Boxes?

That would be great if that works, I dont see how its different to a PO box though since I just get a letter in the box saying I got a parcel and now Ill get a text instead.

        • Yes, you can. Only Auspost and StarTrack will deliver to them though, other couriers won't.
But since COTD uses Auspost, no problem.

I'm using them a lot. Find them quite convenient (if you have one close by or on the way to/from work).

    • They do ship at po boxes.

  • Wrong brand - a box of rubbers this big should be called a goodyear pack

I recently got back into the game, I could make a really long post but the gist of it is, I imported a single, $6 condom from Japan and it frankly, (profanity) DESTROYED anything Ansell has produced.

Really ultra frustrating to see that the polyurethane condoms (the ORIGINAL Durex Avanti, circa 2005/6/7) is no longer made.
Non latex condoms ("Skyn" series) are still just hopeless compared to polyurethane. Seriously you haven't had good sex with a condom until you've tried one. latex is like a thick rubber glove for gardening, ultra thin latex is mildly better, polyisoprene (poor replacement to polyurethane) is slightly better again but polyurethane is basically incredible and Japanese made .001mm thick ones? Incredible.

It's all about the heat transfer, such a shame to see so few manufacture polyurethane ones.
NOTE: I do not have a latex allergy, this is more about the feeling while using it and also keeping a girl wet, latex somehow seems to dry people out.

    • +4

Sorry but $6 a pop is a dealbreaker at high frequency.

      • +2

DUDE you're damn straight it is, that's what sucks. The Durex Avanti was 90% as good as the Japanese one and it only had a mild premium over a regular 12 pack. Sigh.
NOTE: All types of Durex Avanti are currently not good, even the real feel bareskin blah blah edition, it ain't polyurethane.

      • +4

        $6 a pop is a dealbreaker

Depends on what kind of mileage he gets out of it.

    • +6

I could make a really long post but the gist of it is

For once, I think we'd all like to read the TL version..

      • +1

        OMG JAPANESE CONDOMS SO THIN?

Though be fair, those Japanese condoms are expensive as hell, hard to wear and can I just emphasise how expensive they are? 12 pc pack costs $39 from the website.
I had the pleasure of using it when one of the Asian grocesary stores had 6pc for $5 (because the expiration date was in 2 weeks I think, or it might've been 1 week).

EDIT: I realised what you meant by the TL version… I'd like to hear the TL version too :)

    • Wow, that's actually pretty interesting. Wish I had known all about this kinda stuff in my younger years

      • Unfortunately Japanese condoms don't fit very well. They don't stretch far enough

        :P

        • I'm slightly under average in length but my girth I would say is definitely normal to slightly above the norm and I had no issue. It was snug but not dangerously tight.

        • Haha.. i don't think that would be a problem for me.

        • -1

I'm pretty sure if you choose the wrong size and they don't stretch enough, even caucasian people will look japanese in the face when they wear one

    • +1

I like Kimono, made in Japan. Though they are latex they are very thin http://au.iherb.com/search?kw=%22Mayer+Laboratories%2C+Kimon…

    • +1

Okamoto, thinnest condoms in the world 0.001mm less than a human hair

      • +1

Yep, utterly incredible. They should be so much more popular. I can't even think of a good analogy here to be honest - but regular condoms are garbage in comparison. The difference is night and day.
Everyone should import one from ebay just to try once.

      • Anyone ever ordered through this site? (Okamoto 0.01 mm) http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/jnl/item/a0038741/?sclid=a_dsa_cp4040000001&lsid=sZDSPICDO_dc|pcrid|51149994392|pkw|_inurl:http://global.rakuten.com/en/|pmt|b

        • +1

rakuten is one of the biggest companies in the world, totally safe to order from

        • @ShinjukuJR: Thank you for the reply. I've known about Rakuten for quite a while (for advertising) but never dealt with them.

        • Sold out, dunno the shipping cost - otherwise, not a bad price.

        • @hamwhisperer: Tried an order for sagami-001. Don't like the order setup though, you have to follow through with the order but you're not charged until you agree to shipping cost that the seller advises you about (by e-mail). I tried the estimated cost on the listing, when the seller sent to cost through it was way up on the estimated cost - not worth it.

        • @whodidthat: Just hit up ebay for a $6 one - just for a once off, if you like it, I did find a place to order them online for an incredibly cheap price but minimum order is 100,000 so you know… maybe we'll do an OzBargain mega-group buy for like 200 dudes, lol

        • @hamwhisperer: :O 500 condoms a person? We'd all be fooked! Needing zimmer frames to get around and using ice packs because of the strain. lol

    • I've had this problem too. Can you recommend a good brand? I don't want to stand at Coles or willies inspecting the back of each condom box..

      • +7

I wouldn't want to stand at willies either

        • Auto correct beats me again :(

        • @ankor: :) ;)

      • +1

In this country you're boned. The Skyn series are the closest to anything decent and they are only mildly better than regular latex (although the feel is only very slightly better they do seem to retain liquid / juices, unlike latex which dries things out)

        So that's worth considering.
Just import 1 Japanese one and take a crack at it.

    • -5

Stop blaming your tool if you can't keep your girl wet.

      • Except non latex it's not a problem in the slightest.

    • may i ask where do you buy these i would like some!

  • +16

    Perfect for Mother's Day.

    • WTh are you implying you buy em for your mum?
