In the past I have found that Lonely planet is often cheaper if you are buying in other currencies/logging in via VPN/hola etc. Its worth checking this out before purchasing.
Also, lonely planet is going down hill a little bit. its worth checking the amazon reviews for competing guidebooks - eg i'm looking at Italy at the moment and the Rick Stevens book is much better.
