  It doesn't get much more misleading than this.

  The Australian rrp for this camera is $299.95, as seen on the dick smith electronics website with free postage and stand: http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4b074c5f08376d2…

  So this deal is only $43 off rrp as opposed to $140 less than teds cameras.

    rrp may well be $299 (c-net,) Goodgear have it at $322 ( i didn't get to the main flip site as it didn't agree with my browser)….however, no claim of rrp is made anywhere in the cotd blurb, nor this post.

    Pointless comment, Obviously RRP and street price there is a big difference, they are doing exactly what every other retailer does.

      The difference is the OP is trying to hype the price like its $150 off the best you can get when in fact is only $43.

      Ozbargainers should be credited with the knowledge each price posted is $XX below the best street price, not the worst.

        True but that aside it is still a good deal compared to the normal street price and that fact alone doesn't merit a negative vote as its a common practice with all retailers. Its just annoying how negative this site is becoming, it's quickly becoming the next Whinepool

          @sonicentropy: well if you look below people are saying that you can get it for $190 on amazon - so actually its not even the "best price" anymore.

          Possibly does deserve a neg imo but i wont give one.

          I think posters need to be more vigilant and considerate when posting deals thinking they are "the best" when in fact they are only average - just like this deal.

        nah..i found it…
        its actually one of the retailers listed in Amazon that ships to australia…not amazon itself.
        Don't need to go through 3rd party forwarders and get charged for extra commission.

            There is one that says they ship internationally…3rd or 4th one…
            can't remember…closed the tab just then..

            if the retailer you choose doesn't ship to australia it will not allow you to finish checkout.
