This is the lowest tier you should consider. I would say their products fully adhere to relevant standards but at the same time are definitely made as cheaply as humanly possible.

I would think twice for an appliance like this, i.e. fire risk etc.

Bought one of these when it was $200. Going strong after a year. Does the job. Good price.

  • Hmm was gonna get this few weeks ago for about $170, but decided I didn't need it. I could just buy the kids extra shirts and jumpers instead. But it's just so tempting…

Do I really need this? Help me out people…

Comes in handy for a rainy day so to speak ;) Especially if kids have sport and forget to wash their socks and sports uniform. Bam dry in 30mins. I wouldn't use it everyday though.

      • That's probably the only reason I would use it. When I forget to wash uniform and they need to use it next day…But then I was thinking for the price, I could just double up on uniforms

Here in Melbourne over winter it takes 3 days for clothes to dry.

Which has to be undercover/inside as it rains every day basically.

        • @Hellman109:
I live in Melbourne and I don't think it rains that often. I was thinking to hang urgent items I need to dry under / around a heater vent

  • 10% off $200 is $20 not $10. Making it closer to $180.

    Bargain.

    • Plus Shipping… which is why the OP put it at $189

    • Sorry my math wasn't clear so it's kinda all over the place. I included the shipping cost at the end after discount, so the price is accurate to what you pay.

4kg is way too small. You need 6kg minimum, otherwise they won't tumble.

  • I'm looking at something like this, moved to a new apartment that only has a hills hoist out the back and we have to put our washing machine in the kitchen, For someone that has used this or something similar, is there a way to put this on top of a washing machine? And is there anything that needs to be done with ventilation/condensation? Or does anyone have any other recommendations?

    Thanks!

    • Every vendor says to stack a dryer on a front loader you need their stacking kit. Those kits are often a couple of hundred at the least…

Otherwise you could mount it to the wall above the washing machine.

      • Really, I had a dryer stacked on a front loader for about four years……

        • Im not saying you cant do it, its more what they say to do.

    • You can buy a generic 'staking kit' from many retailers. Last I saw them was at Good Guys and they were basically just a thick & heavy recycled rubber pad for around $50 that you place on top of your washing machine then the dry just sits on that. I haven't used one myself but I assume the rubber must be enough to absorb the vibrations and grippy enough to prevent the dryer from moving around. Condensation build up from a Dryer can be nasty so best to keep it in its own room/area and let it get as much access to the outside air as possible.

    • Bought this model 4 years ago from BigW and dumped it straight on top of my washer in my apartment. Both have been working fine ever since with no stacking kit required!

As for venting, I put the light on in my bathroom (which runs the extractor) whenever I use the tumbler, works fine with no condensation.

  • I have an old fisher & paykel dryer with energy rating of 716 but this one is 192 How can there be such a huge difference? Is it worth the upgrade to help save on power?

    • Id call it a downgrade
Is it worth it… Deal is expired now

  • I ordered one but i think they lost it in the Toll warehouse

    • I received mine last Friday… have you received an e-mail from DD saying that it's been shipped, or any shipping notice from Toll?
