Maybe could get officeworks to match and discount?

    • +1

Officeworks will do price beat on Itunes cards, I've done it before. However, from what I have overheard, they have to do the discount differently to the way they normally do price beat. This means they usually spend five minutes looking puzzled at their monitor, then call another staff member over, then call the manager over. The manager then shows them how to do price beat for Itunes cards.

In all, you spend about ten minutes waiting at the register.

They already have matched for some of them

  • Looks like every day price at Costco. Still a bargain though for those who aren't initiated into costco yet.

Also never been a fan of purchasing shows off iTunes, it just locks you into 1 ecosystem, if you decide to leave Apple, then all your stuff is stuck on iTunes. Can probably get all 4 seasons on Bluray for around the same price as you paid for them on itunes.

Also iTunes cards are a good way to get discounted Netflix if you set up your netflix to bill through iTunes.

    • I thought they removed DRM years ago?

      • As far as I know, they still have DRM. You can easily remove it, but technically that is piracy.

        • I haven't seen DRM on any of the music for years - I play the Itunes m4a files just fine, unmodified, using mplayer under Linux.

My android phone plays them fine too, using the stock music player.

However the video files you rent must be different, otherwise they could not limit you to 30 days of playback.

I don't know about the video files that you purchase, sorry I've never bought one.

          @Russ:
          Music DRM free.
Video and Apps not DRM free.

  • I saw a lady buying handfuls and handfuls of $50 iTunes cards at Target a few days ago.
The best bit was when the guy behind the counter said 'back for more itunes' when she approached, they got 4 employees to help scan them all.
    Was easily dropping $2-3K.

Can anyone assist in letting me know what she was up to? Online business?

    • She might have been staff, perhaps staff get to buy at cost price? Then, as you suggest, re-sell online for profit.

Or she could have been the owner of a business, buying gifts for her staff, who may be due a bonus for exceeding some sales threshold for the first quarter of 2015.

    • Yes, and probably online chinese business if the lady looks asian to you.

The in app purchases for Australia is currently $129.99 and 648RMB for China. They are offering on Taobao ( Chinese eBay) to topup the purchaser's game account with a discounted price, say 500RMB or so, due to the low exchange rate and discounted iTunes card (no discounted iTunes cards are sold in China, AFAIK). The game aacount is usually not linked to iTunes account there.

The freemium game market in asian is humongous. Google it yourself if you are interested.

      • Thanks, the lady was Chinese.

And she was quick to claim her flybuys on the purchase, probably buys enough cards to fly them home herself on flybuys. Must be doing a ripper trade.

Has anyone got the AMEX Target $20 cashback on this deal?

    • Thank you! Something I can use it on.

Edit: Sorry I found the iTunes on Target website, so $130 of cards is what you need to put in your cart to get both discounts. I tried searching for iTunes on target website and it didn't have any responses.

      • Thanks! :) Hopefully will arrive before my netflix (US) sub expires this month then I can resume it as an AU sub via apple tv ^-^

  • This has been on for awhile yeah?

$80 for a few TV seasons? Yeah I'll find other methods thanks.

  • Target have cancelled my order citing that I have cancelled it, but I hadn't and now they are refuse to respond to my e-mails, anyone else having trouble with target online?

  • Now they are saying that their new software cancelled my order and that they will not reinstate my order even though it's their fault, what a crappy company. I am never buying from them again. Three weeks wasted and no iTunes cards, anyone else had this problem?
