We just use audiobooks these days.
They play for about 3 hours. Better for their eyes and better for their imaginations…

these are great for road trips, picked one up a few weeks ago for $3 from Kmart and took it to NZ on a holiday, the adjustable bracket fit the nexus7 2012 nicely, and kept the little one entertained during the long drives, $0.50 is truly a bargain!
