After ordering and signing up at about 2pm, I have just been called to inform me not only that my order has been denied (and the voucher no longer works), but I now also have to race around and plan dinner. Silly of me to assume that their business was reliable. I will not be using their service ever again (in fact this was my first attempt, and last).
I have opened a dispute with PayPal to get my excess money refunded (out of sheer principle and for DH treating me like utter garbage).
After I entered the code and paid with paypal (as soon as this was posted), somehow I got charged the full amount. How can I cancel this?
Not the first time I've gotten stung from delivery hero. I guess I deserve it for the mountains of times I've stung them.
Got the e-mail confirmation but no text. Hmmm maybe I'll need to make plans for dinner :(

Restaurant doesn't open 'til 6pm according to DH, and no confirmation received for a 7pm delivery. Hope it doesn't get cancelled, since it would make arranging a replacement dinner very difficult!
As soon as the restaurant opens you should receive the confirmation text. Just happened to my order.

Yeah, no. You can't claim the deal ends at 7pm and end it earlier, without at least stating that there was a finite number of voucher uses to begin with. Fail.
Ordered a couple of pizzas at 3.30pm; expected delivery was 4.30pm and they just arrived (5.20pm). Delivery Hero is shit, I'll only use when the vouchers make it cheaper to put up with the shit delivery times.
I doubt that DH are to blame, the delivery was 20 minutes early for me, depends on the place i guess.
False advertising. Closed at 5pm, not 7pm. No disclaimer regarding limited quantity of coupons.
What this means is that people are making dinner plans based on the discount, and then being told they will no longer receive discount.
There need to be repercussions for users / businesses providing false advertising on Ozbargain. I personally don't like being lied to.
Please focus your energy on the correct source. The OzBargain deal was reporting a Facebook offer. There was no 'advertising on OzBargain'.
I agree that false advertising should be dealt with. In this case, directly to Delivery Hero regarding their post on Facebook.
My point is that businesses that make false advertisements need to be banned from Ozbargain. If there are no more posts allowed related to Delivery Hero then the OZbargain community will not get directly affected. This kind of exposure should be seen as a privilege.

I was at the end of my order earlier. And got got the message about expired coupon. Then checked here. Expired wtf… though my workmate managed to order after the coupon expired…so who knows maybe he got lucky.

I think the "luck" aspect refers to whether or not he was able to use a coupon that had been considered expired by someone else, rather than whether the food was delivered.
Luckily I ordered at just before it expired. But yeah to advertise that it ends at 7pm then cancel it at 5pm is poor form. False advertising really. Good post though OP thanks for sharing!

My order was just cancelled at 5.20 when it was due for delivery at 6. This is after I had recieved confirmation SMS.
I did get a replacement code though, so will try it later.
Came home from work with the intention of ordering dinner with this. Code now expired. I now have no way of picking up anything so must get food delivered.
Attempted to place an order at normal price but the site is now in maintenance mode. You've really given me no choice but to use Menulog as my "goto" delivery service. Disappointing.

I made an order at 12:40pm, got an email saying it will be delivered at 1:40pm… not here by 2pm, and I was heading out so not at home around 2:30. Had a call that I couldn't take so I tried calling back not long after, it goes to Delivery Hero's automated service, then hangs up. Have tried calling multiple times now. I certainly won't ever be using this service again, or recommending it to anyone.
BTW, the money has been taken out of my paypal account too.. what a crappy service.

I know its not delivery hero's fault if the restaurant delivers early or late but as a few people have experienced, once my order came over an hour early. I was home thankfully but dinner got cold and had to microwave it. I can understand traffic and other delays but to have food delivered over an hour out of the specified delivery time seems too much? or am I just being too picky?
You're not being picky. I would consider that very poor service and not re-use DeliveryHero for orders. I also would not order again from that restaurant.

I somewhat understand people negging for it not going to 7pm, but the people saying they waited sometime after they saw the deal to order? Ozbargain is built on deals not lasting as long as they should due to demand.

My order arrived 45 minutes early , obviously one of the lucky ones.With over 6000 clicks if everyone ordered thats $120,000 from delivery hero which is a hell of a lot imo.

Was also told they never received order but once i gave them my order number they were able to give me details on what i ordered.

UPDATE: I ordered for 7 pm delivery and it was 6 pm when the restaurant called me and said that they have received 10 orders from Delivery Hero just then. And asked me if I still wanted the food delivered and I happily said Yes. The food will be delivered in 45 - 60 minutes she said. The restaurant is Thai Culinary in Melbourne CBD if anybody else is interested.
Same situation for me: the restaurant said they never got the order. I waited 30 minutes after the theoretical delivery time before calling the restaurant, then called Delivery Hero as they requested, which arranged food to be delivered 40 minutes later.
Same thing happened to me. Placed an order for 7pm delivery and called up the restaurant a bit afterwards to check on its status. Lo and behold they never received the order but they were very accommodating. They tried calling the DH customer service to no avail so asked for my order details and will (hopefully) still deliver to me.
EDIT: Got my food! Mad props to Pho N Roll in Melbourne for honoring my order even after the mix up. Food is pretty damn good.

So my expected delivery time was 7pm, at about 7.15 I called the restaurant and asked them about my order and the lady had no idea about my order. I left my number and she rang the driver and called me back. She said the driver had already done my suburb. I said I had not received anything yet. She told me to contact DH as they are responsible for giving the order to the restaurant. I hung up and tried countless time to call DH only to be hung up on and continually redirected with the automated machine. I decided to give up and try calling back later. It was about 8.30pm and my door bell rang. To my surprise it was the delivery guy. I grabbed my food and the guy left. Wow I thought, that was unexpected. So no awkward silences thank god. And that was my night.
