  • How good/bad is the video quality?
Is it compatible with gopro mounts and cases?

    • Looks similar to one I got from BigW before Xmas. Mount is different on mine, but I managed to get an adapter and some screws on Ebay. Its definitely not gopro quality but works OK and cant complain for the price.

  • any good as a dash cam?

review From website - This is overall a good value little camera, build and picture quality seem reasonable and it's easy to use.
But TAKE NOTE: THERE IS A CLANGER OF A BUG. If you plug the charging cable into a USB wall socket (e.g. iPhone charger style) instead of a computer, the camera switches on and begins video recording by itself and ALL EXISTING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ON THE CARD ARE DELETED. Once you know about it, you can avoid it. Hope this warning helps others avoid disappointment.

…Guess it could make a good dash cam but no mount.

ALL EXISTING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS ON THE CARD ARE DELETED

How the hell does that even happen?

      • +2

Records over the existing files in a loop when the memory fills.

      • +3

It's acting as a dash cam - start recording when power connects and record over the data in a loop

  • Cant order to pick up online - low stock everywhere in Sydney. :(

  • Hi guys is this a good deal for a full HD action cam?, I was able to order via click and collect but I'm not sure if it's worth buying more?!.

    • +1

Buy first, think if you need it second. Typical ozbargain remorse. Pick it up. Take a few selfies. Move on.

      • +4

One does not simply move on from HD selfies.

        • Not until mum catches you & makes you clean up the mess.

        • +1

          4K selfies?

    • +3

It's a very very low price for full HD, 25 fps.

It's not going to be a GoPro Black edition. But if you're just a very casual photo/video taker and you just want to take regular videos (no fancy slow-mo, 4K, etc), then I'd say for $28 , go for it!

Heck….28 bucks isn't even the cost of some of the GoPro mounts out there, alone.

    "low" stock everywhere!
    no deal

  • I was able to order one for pickup at Midland (WA)

    • The advantage of the time difference. Bet you can't do it in 1hr 54 min time.

    • Got one at Subiaco

  • Perfect for the boat.

    • -1

      Or the plane.

  • wow not bad. no use for it though :)

  • would this be suitable to put in my investment property and keep an eye on the tenants to make sure they are not damaging the property?

    • +15

      I'm pretty sure that's illegal

    • +5

If you're that concerned about tenants damaging your property then maybe you should reconsider being a landlord. It's one thing to be greedy but it's another to be greedy and invade privacy!

    • +3

Sell it to them as an anti-theft measure.

But seriously, screen your tenants better and organise more inspections?

    • +7

I prefer to simply watch mine through the windows at odd hours of the day. I know they find my presence reassuring.

      • What about when she draws the curtains

  • Just got the last one from Mornington, Vic

  • +3

Yes are pretty good for a dash cam does same thing as a go pro, but the build quality ain't as great.

  • How would this go riding a motorbike? Would it pick anything up or be just stuttering?

    • +1

I don't know about this OfficeWorks camera but in general the camera mount and mounting location is more important for reducing shaky video. Some of the affordable action camera's come with cheap and problematic handlebar mounts.

  • +1

quite sure the deal has been ozbargained.

  • It is available on OW mobile site. Also bought 1 from Morley store and still has a few left but you need to ask as they are not displayed in store anywhere.

  • Might grab one. What sort of mounts suit this ? generic tripod type mount or same as GoPro etc. ?

    • I'd also be interested in what mounts it suits. If it's not a gopro mount then I probably wouldn't pick up the click & collect that I ordered, I'd just cancel it.

  • OP updated with a Full HD Camcorder also on clearance

  • Can anyone comment on the camcorder. Interested in that one.

  • How does the camcorder work? Is it worth buying?

    • +2

Most likely you press a button, and it records what it sees and hears onto a storage medium. :) :)

Do you have a better question about what you might like to know ? :)

  • No stock available in Braddon (ACT) and I bought the last camera in Fishwick (ACT)

  • none left in my area :( you snooze you lose

    • Still available for delivery on mobile website. But $5.95 delivery fee though.

      • Happy to pay the delivery fee but none left - it lets you order it but when you are about you pay it says out of stock :( thanks anyway!

  • does anyone want to sell me theirs if you don't need it or shall I look on ebay?

  • Just got one Midland store wa. Few left she reckons.

  • +4

Stick some of the free GoPro Stickers on it to make it seem more like a GoPro :P

  • Ordered, paid, all good then yesterday refunded payment and said no stock, so sorry. Bad form Officeworks - if you don't have stock don't try to sell it - surely Business 101. Well on the way to having a loyal customer become far less so as this isn't the first time.
