As far as I know it is actually created and/ or marketed by the ABC
Good question. Found the answer in the FAQ:
What does the Australian Broadcasting Corporation have to do with Reading Eggs?
Blake Publishing has joined forces with ABC Commercial to bring the fantastic ABC Reading Eggs program to Australians via the ABC Connect brand. The ABC, like the Blake team, is committed to >producing and distributing innovative, high quality content that its audiences and customers find educational and enjoyable.
Yes they are affiliated. You can actually buy reading egg material from the ABC online store itself: https://shop.abc.net.au/products?utf8=%E2%9C%93&keywords=rea…
I know 3 kids who are on reading eggs from this deal last time: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/151085
It's a very very good program and I would recommend it to any kiddos out there wanting to learn faster.
A lot of schools actually have a license for reading eggs too, so you don't have to buy subscriptions for your kids if your school already has one.
Eggy subtract to 20 still shows AUD $ 2.49 when I goto play store ???? Any idea why ?
Actually, it is affiliated with the ABC. Great apps and online program.
Worked for me got all the apps
No, This is a global Co.
To be fair, "ABC" is a fairly generic term used by many programs, apps and companies (including broadcasters)My kids (4,6) subscribe to the reading eggs program and it is brilliant (although not that cheap!). They love getting "the egg" surprise - totally how gamified learning should be done.
Here are the links to the apps:

Word Snap: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/eggy-word-snap/id715395961?M…
Eggy Vocabulary: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/eggy-vocabulary/id687179728?…
Eggy Subtract: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/eggy-subtract-to-20/id828176…Ta - take that back.
(I searched a while ago and it looked international - then again, the Oz accent is pretty clear!)
The reading "game" is World classSeems like a good way for the ABC make money that can be ploughed back into making TV & radio shows.
My kids have loved the reading program, it's more like a fun game than learning (but it does work!)
Lets me know if anyone has luck with google play store or may be I am missing a step. Thanks
Seems to be iPhone version of apps only unfortunately

People post to help others, not to pick apart other people's post- Jackson
So Eggy on your face JacksonPot calling kettle black much?
Not picking apart the post, but the website looks bodge, at least compared to anything else the ABC is affiliated with, so I thought the question needed to be asked. Judging by the above itlooks like I wasn't the only one who wants clear on that
Thanks…
don't wait too long otherwise these will hatch.
.. also FREE is Eggy 100 HD .. featuring "sight words" .. get it via iTunes.
Thanks OP, we're always keen for new games. They are just perfect for my 5yo, she loves them. I much prefer she play these ones as a treat than a lot of the other games out there.
Reviews for Reading Eggs Android apps are pretty poor
I'm not surprised. The apps are pretty limited. While lots of people are praising them, I was very disappointed. My kids worked through most of the apps in 1 day when the last sale was on. Repetition was high and the learning was limited.
The regular subscription might be good, but these apps weren't.
Why is this guy using the national broadcaster's logo to flog apps? Correct me if I am mistaken but this business isn't actually affiliated with the national broadcaster are they?
