    I wouldn't quit your day job if you're hoping to become a programmer using some of these.

    A short sample from the Java one, explaining that Java is based on object-oriented programming.

    In Java, everything is an object. Java can be effectively stretched out and extended to unimaginable dimensions since it is focused around the Object model.

    Ahh, NOW I get what OOP means!

      Perhaps the book assumes that you have had previous programming experience or know of OOP?
