  • Kelvinator better?, Must be kidding with
    Rating - Heating: 2.5 Stars, Energy Star Rating - Cooling: 2.5 S

  • You can get 3.5kw Fujitsu for only $20 more.

    • Yeah Fujitsu is a good deal but 3.5kW for a standard sized bedroom is also a bit of overkill. If it's a bigger room, then sure, good brand and price!

  • I have the 2.6kw pans and they are pretty good. But sometimes could use a bit more grunt especially when conditioning all of house with doors open and all splits on. I'd get the Fujitsu. Plus the Fujitsu range is quieter.

  • How much does it cost for the installation?

    • That's kind of like asking how long's a piece of string. Installation costs vary depending on many factors.

        • I was quoted nearly $3k all up for installation of a 2.5 kW Daikin in my apartment. I would imagine that at least half that would be installation costs. Another company even quoted $3700.

        • @MrZ:
I just had THREE Fujitsu 2.5kw units installed for $3345 (after $450 cashback and including $230 for extra piping and cabling).

        • @puffinfresh:

Well I've had that particular quote from 3 different companies. It's unlikely that another company would come along and offer it at half the price of the other 3. It's not a ground level installation. Once you start having to lift the unit up many stories, the price skyrockets.

        • I had 3x splits 3.5kw installed for 1.8k.. I used serviceseeking to get the cheapest installer with most positive feedback. Then got another $450 cashback from energex for peaksmart. So total $1,350.. This is in QLD.

        • @downdown: surely not including the units?

    • TGG quoted $599 for 2.6 kW/ground lvl installation

  • That pretty good deal.i got mine 3month ago for $1350 fully installed from bluestar

So far so good with it.Good to cover the whole bedroom approx 3.5x4m.

Whatever you do, DONT buy the Fujitsu without reading up on the horror stories. Unfortunately I became another statistic of the 4 year curse.
They are notorious for burnt-out Inverter PCB's as well as compressor failure, usually as a result of the PCB failure, as Fujitsu dont bother to coat their PCB's in any type of protectant, such as silicon, to protect from the elements as well as insects frying themselves out on the PCB's.
Both Panasonic, Daikin and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries coat all of their PCB's in protective coatings, to avoid this issue.
My Fujitsu lasted only 4 years, and with no warranty agents close enough, Fujitsu simply didnt want to know about it. Therefore, I do all I can to educate others before they make the same mistake. If you Google Fujitsu PCB failure you will find alot of the same experience.

    • Too true, one reason why I picked the Panasonics. Glue sealant is cheap, why do these companies skim out on little things like this that end up hurting their reputation and cost more in the long term…

Dont buy the Aircon's now though i'm temped at this 20% off . Based on the previous years , would be summer offer cash back offers from Samsung/Panasonic starting at 1/4. If worst you can still buy them at 20% on 1/4 evening…Anyway i'm waiting.

    • You sound like a clever chap, so I'll take my lead from you. Based on past promos, the discount should be an extra $100
