This dude posts nothing but Gaming Dragons deals. We get it you want referral money, give it a rest already.

    • Genuine deal, the problem is…?

Gaming Dragons a key reseller (see KeyRadar) so while it activates on steam, it could hardly be considered a legitimate key. It's kind of like buying stereos out of the back of a random van and claiming that the product wasn't acquired through shady methods.

        • Could you explain how this works? What do you mean?

        • @onebutters:

Someone steals a credit card or its information, they buy lots of games (keys) with it, they then resell those keys to people at a lower cost. Key works on the store, so the purchaser is happy. However, they are funding criminal activity, also Steam and Ubisoft will deactivate that game if they are informed it was purchased with stolen CC information. People then get angry at Ubisoft and Steam but not at the criminals stealing CC information.

I reached out to Gaming Dragons via their email support and asked them about their position in the market of 'grey imports' otherwise known as 'Parallel Importing' see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_import

They told me their store has been established since 2011 and that they do not work directly with publishers, but instead purchase stock from official suppliers which is how they're able to offer games at affordable prices.

Out of curiosity I did some research myself and discovered the following info at www.keyradar.com re: popular CD Key Resellers:

          Authorised

          BundleStars
          Direct2Drive
          GamersGate
          GetGamesGo
          GreenManGaming
          HumbleBundle
          IndieGala
          Nuuvem

          Unauthorised

          CDKeys
          CJS-CDKeys
          G2A
          GameDealDaily
          GamingDragons
          GamingPanda
          OzGameShop
          TheBlueDroid

          Not in Database

          Didgio
          GameAgent
          PrePaidGamecards

Interestingly enough, half of the above stores which have been popular with the OZ Bargain community have been classified as 'Unauthorised' by Key Radar.

That being said, I have purchased from BundleStars, GreenManGaming, HumbleBundle, G2A, GamingDragons, GamingPanda, OzGameShop and PrepaidGameCards and had an excellent experience with all of them.

In addition to purchasing boxed copies from Retailers, and purchasing direct from Steam and Origin, I have been purchasing from CD Key Reseller websites for the past 4-5 years and have not had any issues with activating keys or revoked licenses.

I hope this information helps :)

          @Xenatos:

Thanks for this, I will now not buy from:
          CDKeys
          CJS-CDKeys
          G2A
          GameDealDaily
          GamingDragons
          GamingPanda
          OzGameShop
          TheBlueDroid

I've bought plenty from OzGameShop when it comes to retail games, I assume those were legit. I'll either steal it (torrent) or buy it somewhere else.

Also, wasn't there one starting with H that people say has sold games that are revoked due to stolen credit cards?

        • @FabMan: Insurance company should cover the credit cards and transactions done by 3rd parties should be honoured by software distributors.

        • @SrMoure:
So give money to criminals and expect insurance companies to cover it? I'm not okay with that, but that is your choice.

        • @FabMan: If there is proof about their criminal activities why are not being prosecuted ? Theft insurance premium are paid to insurance companies to recover money stole from criminals. So insurance companies should definitely cover for it.

        • @SrMoure:
Prosecuted by whom (or who, can't tell)? Anyway, if they are based in a different country to yours, what action can you take?

EA and Ubisoft have deactivated games because they were informed that were purchased with stolen credit cards. G2A and Kinguin are markets like eBay, they are not the sellers, they just take some cream from the top. So now Ubisoft and EA have to track down the sellers, who I'm sure used their real identities and then convince that countries legal service to take action. Easy right? Since most crimes are wrapped up in a few weeks.

          Russian seller is to blame?:

        • @FabMan: EA and Ubisoft should be sued for deactivating these games, since payment was issued from credit cards (stolen or not). When something is purchased with your stolen credit card what do you think it happens. Your money goes from your credit card to the supplier. The supplier provides the service because he was paid. You're paying an insurance , therefore the money stole from your credit card should be refunded by the insurance company (and i can tell you the insurance companies are profitable under this scheme). If you fake the theft it's insurance fraud. It seems EA and Ubisoft are double dipping.

        • @SrMoure:

I disagree and don't want to argue with you over this. I still believe we shouldn't fund criminals.

        • +1

@FabMan: Do you refer to the organisation stealing credit cards or to the insurance companies :-D

The referral link is optional, it's the First deal on OZB for this game and the price is right.

…and yes, I have posted Gaming Dragons promotions multiple times, and they've all been original deals for that store every single time (not re-posts).

The more deals we post, the more choice we have, the happier we all are (:

…and as far as I'm concerned - I'm confident there are many more happier OZB users who've purchased games through my posts than there are those who are unhappy about a referral link they don't have to click.

If you've found a better deal, great! Please post it - it's more valuable to our community than your comment so far.

Not sure how people feel about g2a.com but they have it for about $20US.

  • Not a great deal. Can find better prices elsewhere example………..

    https://www.g2a.com/pillars-of-eternity-hero-edition-steam-c…

    $17.39USD

Was beaten to the post above…. =]

    • That's almost 2 keys for the price of one!

  • Screw all these dodgy resellers, steal the game from PirateBay or buy the game, don't give your money to these guys.

  • What is Hero edition? The RRP price is $45 which is the same price as the standard edition on Steam.

So is Hero edition the standard edition or are there some extras?

    • Same, Hero is Standard. Only includes base game, no extras.

      • Why call it Hero edition? That implies it's something other than standard. Standard things usually don't have "edition" in the title.

Also, "hero" inflates its worth. A bit misleading.

You expecting me to answer that? I'll have to give Obsidian a call first.

        • Right, you ask a question and then you get shitty when I answer it.

          @FabMan: Wasn't me dude.
