Does anyone know where I might be able to find a new Kindle Paperwhite this week for less that the $179 at DSE and $178 at Officeworks?
Kindle Paperwhite Wanted
Comments
I got this one for $74.50 :P
Bargain. It's much smaller and lighter than the Paperwhite and they gave me a free (albeit, not matching colour) lighted cover. I don't use the free cover as it causes glare by shining into your eyes - just use the standard cover (included as standard on the device itself - this has sleep/wake functionality with closing/opening).
Nevertheless, it was included for free with my purchase. Not a bad device, considering the physical page turn buttons, PDF reflow features and lightness. A couple of cons: you can't see the time when a book is open, and there's no way to tap the screen to turn the page (you must use the page turn buttons, or swipe).
I particularly want the backlight feature (well, front light really), so the only alternative would be the Kobo Aura - $159 at JB Hi-Fi.
I got mine for $129 in November :D
If you're going to get the Paperwhite, you should also get the official leather cover, as it gives you sleep wake functionality.
I already have my own paperwhite (which is how I know it's the one I want). This one will be a birthday gift.
Just bite the bullet then and pay full price. The best deal right now would be to get a DSE gift card from Coles with extra value, although I think that might end today.
20% off sale at DSE online ebay store, today only.
I ended up getting a Kobo Aura for $144 at JB HiFi. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.
If you're not particular about kindle how about a sony one for $149, can recommend this ereader
