  • Without RoS D3 isn't that great but would still be cheaper to buy the upgrade than the full price. Blops 2 is pretty much dead (as is Ghosts) on PC.

Can attest that Blops 1 is pretty dead.. but Blops 2 is still somewhat ok on PC. Well better in comparison to Blops 1 that is. Although I am naturally a MW2 player so hah.. you can deduce my perspective and opinion on the subject from that.. haha..

      • I think Blops 1 is my favourite CoD to date, big fan of WaW and original MW though. MW 1 was amazing in a lan environment. Hope WaW2 is this year, there's signs of that being true but who knows!

        • Nice didn't know about that. Same Blops 1 is now currently my favourite CoD to date (only played the multiplayer though didn't get too far into the sp, I dunno something about the weird Jungle-esque story line put me off) but a semi-decent WaW2 reboot would do wonders for the CoD community a bit of a nice change from all the modern and advanced combat perhaps, I have a lot of friends who also say they missed the WaW gameplay and just overall the World War I and II theme. Imo, MW 1 was also my first true love.. for multiplayer gaming and still sort of is when I get bored or can't find a semi-decent game on the other CoD's.. then MW 2 but only because my friends got into it so the random party lobbies/sessions were somewhat hilarious haha and made the somewhat awkward match making process worth it.

Personally I thought they were going to continue the AW series or make it somewhere more set into space or another planet haha lol but who knows.. they could maybe take an old and nostalgic detour xD I know I and many others wouldn't complain haha.. here's to hoping.

          @AlienC:
Infinity Ward may continue the AW futuristic trend but I doubt Treyarch will. AW was okay and nice for a change but the underlying issues of CoD came out within a few days, was kind of a facade that crept out. I have such a love-hate relationship with CoD. No other game makes me so god damn mad but I still enjoy it a ton.

        • @kaneissik: I know and feel exactly the way you feel/mean. They need to change up the game again to make it feel well for lack of a better term.. real again.

I hope they just maybe slow it down imo in the next outtake and maybe add some new or newer game mechanics.. anything.. even some sort of destructible small environments at this point would change it up for me. Personally I liked what they did with the black ops series.. and introduce the 'scorestreak' set up.. it was a nice change and added some value to some other parts of the game that definitely needed addressing other than just mindless camping and killstreak killing.

My hopes is maybe somewhat like mechs but not mechs.. maybe some sort of computer aided/assisted robots? I dunno haha.. all I know is that the fps genre is well not dying but definitely needs a change of pace.. and I am not talking about open world or survival.. just the pure need of change for strictly fps gaming.. who knows what will happen.. I am just excited really at this very moment.. to wait and see :) because sometimes unfortunately it is the big anticipation and waiting to watch and see that is the best :)

yes. without Stealer of Souls, Diablo 3 upgrade, you will not find anyone playing it online.
and you wont get the full experience of the game. (limited to lvl 60 etc).

the strangest thing is, and first ever for me, if and when you do upgrade there is nothing to download.

    • That is because your Battle.net client would have downloaded it automatically. It downloads big patches and generally expansions in increments up to the release. There is an option in the Battle.net client under Game Install/Update "Automatic Updates: Apply latest updates and download future patch data". Hope this clears that up for you.

What if I am only interested in playing single-player in Diablo 3, would it still a necessity to get the upgrade?

    • It is by no means a necessity to get the expansion, there is just a lot more content and more to do (grinding!) once you get to 70. I strictly play single player and just do g/rifts (end game content). If you just plan to get to max level and then quit this isn't really the game for you I feel. You would be better off playing Torchlight 1/2.

No more stock, no deal. A rep said last time this came up that most stores have already cleared out.

  • my local removed the pc section about 1month ago, whole game section is like 20 ps3/360 games, 10 ps3/xboxone/wiiu games, and 20 wiiu skylander bundles noone wants

  • Btw what's the cheapest any has seen the D3 expansion RoS go for? or what does it usually go for? I'm might maybe thinking about maybe finally jumping on the Diablo 3 train/bandwagon now if it is still well populated or cheap enough.. otherwise back to dota 2 for me.. haha..

    • Don't know if it's the cheapest (doubt it with the AUDUSD) but you can get it for:

      D3: US$22.46
      D3 Reaper: US$23.97

      • can apply a 5% discount code (total of US$44.11 after discount)

      @ cdkeys.com

    • got RoS from EB games for 35$ boxed dvd,
however its all pointless as you only need the code

  • Kmart West Lakes, SA had a whole stack of Heart of the Swarm SC2 expansions for $2 a couple of weeks ago. Now they just have a pile of Cod Ghosts.

  • Anyone have an opinion on COD ghosts single player campaign?

barely remember… there was a dog

      • +3

Nice: I like dogs. Will probably have to get it then.

        • +1

Yeah the dog was the best part of that game (esp in multiplayer)
$15 is prob the max you wanna pay for it.

        • +2

@marquise: Yeah I am waiting for it to drop to below $5 like this one is.. if ever.. the reviews have deterred me off… but doggy!

        • @AlienC:
You know what I did after being so disappointed with Ghosts multiplayer? I bought BO2 for $15 and it was so much better (I had previously owned it on PS3). There's still enough players around on BO2 servers, but I've had to stop playing for a while as it was getting too habit forming.

        • @marquise: Same reason hmm I stopped MW2.

    • +1

5-6 hours long. Not bad, but ridiculously easy even on the hardest difficulty (Veteran).

  • AFL Live 2 Grand Final Edition for X360 (comes with steel case and DLC) $14 down from $59. PS3 version is still full price as is a lot of other PS3 games.
