  • I found my closest wasn't accepting it on Sunday but found others nearby who were.

  • Thanks syba, was just thinking of lunch and well this settles it :)

  • +7

50% off but I don't know the menu price because I never pay it.

    • +4

I don't think anyone pays full price anymore for dominos

      • +10

        definitely no one on OzB.
Surprisingly though,I see plenty of people paying full price when I pick up my orders.

        • Definitely, I went to a birthday party and they were ordering domino's at full price. I told them to use codes and save money.

      • +3

This is the new full price. If you pay the old price, you're paying double price.

  • +4

it makes the Traditional range $5.47 each and the Chef's Best range $4.97.

    • +2

I Find that different stores charge different prices.

      • +2

        Correct.

        My store's prices are a $3.97 and $4.47 respectively.

        • wow, which store for $3.97? I doubt if I can find any store around 2152 for that price :(

        • @electricbluee: Wheeler's Hill and Rowville VIC.

I got downvoted in another thread for telling people other states were overcharging based on the prices of all the stores near me.

  • These Domino's deals will be the death of me…

    • Life's short anyway. May as well live it to the fullest.

      • Life's overrated, what difference does it make if you are dead or alive when you don't know you are dead?

  • Tried Chef's Best Supreme last week because of all these posts and votes.
I was so thirsty after & felt like shit, had to have 3 large cups of water from the massive salt intake.
This stuff shouldn't be regarded as food, so bland.

    • Positive votes on ozbargain dont reflect the taste or quality of food, only price.
You bought cheap pizza, and you got what you paid for I guess..

      • I beg to differ, positive votes could reflect on many different aspects on whether something is a bargain or not.
An example is my situation, I used to upvote Dominoes deals, but after trying it I won't be upvoting anymore even though it's still cheap.

        • +2

Depends on your view. For some it's decent food compared to what they would be inclined to whip up at home. For others it would be an insult to feed this to their pets.

From time to time, for me it's ok. But that is just my opinion

        • i might upvote a Domino's deal if it has a good flat price, because and especially when you pick it up a Dominos pizza can be a decent feed at a good price, but more often than not people effectively spam the same deals over and over and while to some it maybe a deal, it's just a different code to me. If you don't think it's a deal though, the action to take is a no vote and a comment like you have. Lots of people have something that bugs them about the big pizza chains.. For me it is the delivery prices, i would much prefer to be charged a upfront price for the actual item and then a delivery fee (if you had it delivered) that covered all the items you ordered. I'm perfectly fine with charging lower prices for pick up, but i can't stand shops that double dip for delivery!

        • Agree… voting purely on price is a poor differentiator for value… which is what a bargain should be - good value.

Paying 50% of anything for a dodgy product can still be poor value.

Half off the opportunity to feel like crap!! Awesome bargain!!

      It's not salt. It's chemicals 621 (MSG) or E635 (Disodium-Ribonucleotide). And I don't care WHAT they say, I KNOW it's in there.

Found my closet not agreeing with this weekly Domino special, pants don't fit no more ;-/

  • Order cancelled at Dandenong. Boo.

  • My local dominos has been closed for at least 3 weeks because of renovations! Grhhh, haven't had pizza for ages and I can't believe renovation of such a small shop takes so long!

    • Boohoo for you

    • +1

      First world problems.

      • 3 weeks = ages here. Hm. Wonder if he/she had no food at all for 5 days. What would've happened then ?

        • Probably not much. People fast all the time for religious reasons. Jesus did 40 days and people still do this today. You can totally do a 40 day fast with nothing but water, you won't die.

        • @inherentchoice: It wouldn't be healthy. If the story is believable, he wasn't an ordinary person either.

I don't think 40 days is realistic. The rule of 3 is how long you can survive without necessities. 3 minutes without oxygen, 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food.

BTW, biblical experts don't believe in the 40 day story. 40 is a number that appears a lot in the bible. Judges rules for 40 years, kings served for 40 years, bible written by 40 different people, Isaac and Esau were 40 when they were married, God would not destroy Sodom and Gamorrah if 40 righteous righteous people were found, god's flood lasted 40 days, jews were in exile for 40 years, etc.. It leads you to wonder if the stories were fabricated, or if the numbers were fudged just a little bit.

          http://www.ecclesia.org/truth/40.html

I challenge you to go 40 days with just water.

        • @lostn: It was done for 44 days in 2003 by David Blaine:

          http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/october/19/…

        • So, it can be done. But my point here was about "First World problems"
          3 weeks = ages … Jesus !

        • @inherentchoice: He's a magician. I doubt he really did it for 44 days. He had a double stealthily swap with him every day. That masked magician dude who reveals other magician's secrets did it. It won't be based exactly the same as Blaine's trick, but the concept will be the same. That or he had food hidden inside. Didn't see him eat it? Magicians are notoriously good at misdirection. That's how they make their money.

You can't trust what a magician claims to have done, or even demonstrates they have done. If it looks like what they did is impossible, I assure you, it isn't.

I had a chicken and camembert to myself for dinner, was surprisingly good (this time). But mang I could taste and feel it was a salt overload from the first bite, I haven't eaten out for a while and was desensitized to junk food levels of salt.

  • Poor form if they're cancelling orders.

My code worked OK for my local shop. So I could place the order and it might be cancelled?

  • +2

    Dodgey f*#@s, half the toppings!

  • +3

Just to advise that chefs pizzas doest taste good if u eat after 30 mins.

So pick up ur pizzas on exact tym..
Dont delay as it changes taste…

    Thank you!

  • +1

Went through fine. Lack of toppings though.

    Still a decent deal cheers.

    • is this because of you possibly changing the toppings? usually swapping out beef for prawns will result in stingy portions of prawns.

alot of dominos that ive tried tend to do this.

I had a voucher from Optus for a free Domino's pizza, which last Sunday I picked up a Chefs best loaded meat lovers. This pizza had heaps of toppings and you could say it was loaded. I used the 50% off voucher, order today the same pizza I had last Sunday and the pizza that I got today hardly had any toppings. It looked like something from the value range. Even my house mate said that this pizza looked nothing like what we had last week. I placed feedback on the Domino's web site which the store manager called me and offered a replacement free pizza. This was much better and weighed about 3 times heavier than the one that I picked up earlier.

So to avoid this shit in the future, if I get a pizza using the 50% off voucher is it expected that the pizza that I am going to receive is going to have a lot less toppings than if I was to purchase a pizza at full price?

    Cheers

    Seb.

    • Seems like its hit and miss. I'd love a bit of consistency. Using a voucher for 50% it should still be the same damn product.

      • It definitely is hit and miss, I've had both full toppings and half toppings on voucher orders. Maybe some managers tell their staff to cut toppings on voucher orders, but obviously the staff are mostly just teens that don't give a shit and many orders will go through fine with full toppings lol.

  • Dominos for tonight!

  • Eating now. Purchased a chefs best from Figtree store in Wollongong. $5.47. Absolutely loaded, and I even swapped two of the toppings.
(Chicken & camembert - swapped baby spinach and bacon, for pulled pork and anchovies. Beast.)

    • Swapped same out for feta, prawn.. Dont much care for the chicken cam..

  • 5.47 rounded up or down?

    • Paypal. Exact amount.
