Scoot don't seem to start flying out of Melbourne until November.
Melbourne Singapore return is currently cheaper with Jetstar (March-June)…
Would they beat the price if you worked your dates right to find one that Scoot was cheaper?
Can't see why not Shaw…

Melbourne Travel period is slightly different. :(
Travel Period (Blackout periods apply):
Perth/Gold Coast/ Sydney:
5 Mar - 30 Nov 2015 & 1 Feb 2016 - 26 Mar 2016
Melbourne:
1 Nov - 30 Nov 2015 & 1 Feb 2016 - 26 Mar 2016
Oh. Lame. I'm leaving Melbourne in October. I'll wait for a Jetstar deal.
They don't begin flying the Melbourne route until 1st November FYI.
Have a look at Travelgenio before booking through scoot. I booked PER-SIN return with baggage for 304 aud compared to 326 aud on the scoot website for the same dates.
Just tried putting in some details into the flight search. Entire thing failed: "Server Error in '/' Application". Terrible website.
Been tracking Scoot prices to Singapore on Good Friday since Jan and it's been constantly going up. From $349 to $429 to $519 today!
Fortunately, I did a Skyscanner search and found the exact same Scoot flight for $249. Couldn't book them fast enough. Flight fares are so random.
you might wanna delete your cookies or use incognito next time to double check the price
Why? Do flight websites track your ip and Jack the prices up if you show too much interest?
yep spot on!
Yeah I tried clearing cookies, different computer and a different browser. Same results in my case!
This was proven to be false. I don't have time to find the sources but if you google it you'll find it's not accurate.
Need to go to Singapore in late Jan.. hurry up mega sale!!!
Jetstar price beat the Melbourne one route for 10% off, on Jetstar Dreamliner. I wouldn't bother with Perth as you would be better on the Scoot 787 vs the Jetstar A320.
I believe the Jetstar's Dreamliner is very cramped compared to the Scoot's Dreamliner.
Indeed, pitch/width on JQ is 30/17 vs 31/19 on TZ. Saying that, I've flown JQ's 787 6 times now and each time I've had either the seat next to me or even both empty.
!!!! I booked 2 days ago for Syd > SG $320 one way!!! That's so dog :(
Heck, even Qantas was cheaper than that.
"That's so dog". Congratulations on making me feel old and confused for the first time in my life.
This is great - school holidays at $178 from Sydney too.
Seems the $178 flights just opened up in January/Feb too. Booked $178 in Feb next year (ony time I can go) home.
$259 there but that's nothing to sneeze at either.
Thanks. If using as a stopover overnight it might be cheaper to return via Kuala Lumpur with AirAsia. Strange that the base return flight is so much more than departure.
