  • Decent prices but FYI 40% off RRP.

    • +1

Bundled with the $10 gift card when its your birthday and this sale becomes rather decent.

  • And some sizes for popular items already out of stock :(

  • How much are the guyfront trunks at coles, anybody know? I need some but cant justify $15 per :/

    • $10 I think.

      • a bit more reasonable. Cheers.

        • +1

I still have some from a deal posted here ages ago when they were $4 each. No way will I pay $15!

        • A couple of years ago The Hut had 5 pairs of Everlast boxer-briefs for $10, those were the days.

        • Went to coles, range was crap :(
What other brands are good, comfortable cheap but stylish? I'm losing interest in bonds.

  • +3

These are not good deals. You can go to kmart during a 20% off and beat these prices.

Last time i was at Myer and they had a "super saturday" i got items at 50% off what they say here

    • Kmart hasn't sold Bonds in quite a while, just a FYI.

      • +1

yeah, you're right. I was thinking Target (the one in the basement of westfields chatswood) but wrote kmart

    • Mens 3 pack of white socks are $10.17 here and only $5.50 at Coles.

      • The low cut ones?

        • Both styles

  • +7

Once upon a time this was locally made quality textiles. Not any more.

    • yeah, i bought a brand new pair of socks that had a cut hole in them, around the size of a 10 piece. They made it a pain to get a new pair.

    • It wasn't that long ago that I would've disagreed with you. Gotta say, the last few pairs of socks and boxers haven't lasted that long!

    • yeap my undies fall apart after not even a year's worth of use when it usually lasts for two years at the least - this is what happens when government and manufacturers' sell out on the people.

    • I'll never buy Bonds again. Got some hoodies, trackies, which weren't very good, but they were a lot better than the jocks and socks I got.

    • +1

Yeah I won't spend money on bonds product anymore. Their quality is poor now. My underwear that I bought them falls apart not even a year after wearing them.

  • Women's Hipster Boylegs are between $7.77 and $9ea on that site.

Works out cheaper per pair at Big W in the 2 packs. Think they're on sale now, too.

  • How about Aussiebum? They are still on sale now, from $10.86 each, Aussie made, free shipping.

    • +4

Wow I feel like I just opened a gay porn site. www.aussiebum.com definitely nsfw but the price seems good for something locally made.

http://www.aussiebum.com/underwear to get straight to the underwear area and skip the nsfw

      • Wow I feel like I just opened a gay porn site.

        It basically is.
I think that's the distinct difference between aussiebum and other underwear companies. Other companies do hire good looking models, but they show their bodies off usually in an admiration-way, rather than a wish-that-guy-would-(profanity)-me-in-the-ass kind of way that aussiebum does. Aussiebum really go overboard with that.

Aussiebum is like the extreme sexual fetishisation of australian men, from the perspective of a foreigner. Most of their customers are from overseas.

But i'm gay so it's fine by me :) . But it kinda sucks that there's a distinct level of sexual thirst in their marketing, which is bound to make some straight guys feel uncomfortable since they just want to admire the model in the underwear, not feel seduced by them.

        • my eyes cannot unsee this barrage of images. Eww - especially the "wonderjock" technology (TM)

        • +1

          @shmahoo:
yes, so ew, orders 4 pairs

        • I approve of this website. +1

(now it makes sense to me why various pics on Ivan Massow's Instagram feature bums in that brand..)

        • @musicinbed69: supreme lol /edit remove order history

  • Bonds posts these all the time, still a bargain, mind you.

  • +2

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- there is some kind of conspiracy to stop me from ever replacing my worn out old navy Chesty Bonds. When they are half price at Woolies there are never any navy blue ones in my store and they are sold out in my size- but only my size- here.

    • +1

Seriously, you can't find the most commonly made tank top available to this country?

Must be all those truckies wives actually doing what they're told so they won't get a beating, and getting in quickly buying them for the master! ;)

      • I can find it at rrp which of course I am not going to pay. Found a 2 pack of bonds singlets in my size at $4.95 COTD so got 2 of those.

        • I experience that often.
Buy whatever size they have. Come-back and swap for correct size in a few weeks. Even ask when stock deliveries come-in. Managers are quite friendly & helpful in family-friendly stores

    • +1

have a look at best n less

  • +1

I was a hardcore Bonds man. Paid a fair price, they felt SO comfortable, and they really lasted.

But everytime I needed new undies, they'd modified the product. For every aspect they fix, they seem to die faster in another way.

And the pricing structure that came with it is b.s.
$20 for a pair of underwear…. Now 50% Off Pfft.

I visited these deals twice previously, on their website. 95% of all stock was gone within a couple of days.

    On the plus side…
I've found many other great options, now my loyalty/blinkers are gone.

    • +1

so you're saying that Bonds is "doing a Rivers" ?

  • +1

Theyve raised the prices by a fair margin since the last time i visited their website, and that was for a 50% off sale.

  • Bought some tees for about 15 bux each. Pretty good!

  • Bonds seem to be the only decent brand of undies that are well designed, made to last, are made of good cotton, elastic doesn't deteriorate etc., that I keep coming back to. Downside is that the price seems to be going up and up - $12 to $13 per pair or more??

Anyone found any good and affordable ($5-$6 a pair) alternatives to Bonds for girls and guys?

E.g. Private label brands? Best & Less?

    • +4

What crap! On average I'd wear the same pair (socks and boxers) once a week at best.
I work(ed) in an office behind a desk 8-5, 5 days a week. I've found their business socks can develop holes in the heels anywhere from 6-12 months. The boxers elastic starts to stretch after 12 months… and that's if you've kept them for that long as you'll have already noticed that the leg hole seams have started to split, holes are starting to develop along the stitching and the material in the bum will almost be see-through!!!

I used to have quite a few pairs as there was always a pair or two that I didn't really need thrown in at Xmas time. Now I'm actually having to ask for a couple of extra pairs, or buy some myself throughout the year. The only reason I continue to buy Bonds is because I don't really want to be seen with the labels Maxx or Tradies printed right across them! At the sort of prices they're charging nowadays, I might as well start looking at some of the better known brand names!

  • It's funny we always wanna pay for the cheapest possible, yet complain about it's not local made and bad quality. Where do you think the cutting cost from?

    • +2

i cant see any comments about the product having to be locally made, just the quality has declined significantly since they went offshore.

      • +2

Not to mention that their prices have not decreased since going offshore!

        • but sale is on more than often

      • Sounds like Eneloop to me.

      • someone said (tommyc) and you did comment on that too. It's not only coincident that when production is shifted oversea to increase profit, product quality also decreases. We always happy to pay for less, it does come with a cost though.

        • +2

          I think it's an inference you've made.

anyway, i don't buy Aus products because it's Australian. Quality and Price are above that.

  • Bonds mens socks are $11 RRP in Coles, 50% off is $5.50. Bonds website is $16.95, half of that is obviously more. They still have decent durability - 8 or 9 months for Coles price is OK. There are no affordable alternatives. May as well buy Hanes/Fruit of the Loom off Amazon.
