I need a couple of ceiling fans for two bedrooms. one was a cheapy three blade and even on high not much air blows down, the other is and fairly expensive (over $100) stainless four blade one but it has always been noisy - like the motor pulsing or something. Both are 1200mm.
What makes this one good (apart from price)? What made it worth over $200? Please, I am not bagging, I just want to know what makes a good ceiling fan as some are really expensive.
Is this one fairly quiet for a bedroom (I would think all fans should be quiet).
No problem and good questions. First of all the fan is made by Ventair which is an Aussie brand based in Melbourne. and they are air movement specialists that pride themselves on addressing the issues you have raised. This fan has 4 blades and is 130cm which both act to provide more air movement than the average fan. The blades have a 11 degree pitch which lead to a sharper cutting of the air resulting in more air movement. 210 RPM on max speed is also a good amount of speed to further generate the air movement you seek. All these components work together with the aim of providing a smoother, quieter movement of air so you don't even notice the fan.
The final point is that Ventair offers a 3 year in home warranty. If something goes wrong they will send a tech to your home to fix it, all covered under warranty.
We sell a huge range of fans and in our experience fans selling for under $150 are considering lower range so it is not surprising you have had some trouble at that price point. This particular fan is an absolute steal at $59.

Yes that's right, a 3 speed wall control is included. No remote though but that can be purchased as an extra if needed. If you have any problems let us know.
