Do you have a link?
You need to look at your specific library to see what magazines you can get, we get loads so I have Top Gear, F1 Racing and numerous others free each month… a few deals from the past which mentioned this:
Canberra

Brisbane:

Just need your library card and pin, which can be reset by email if you have registered your email with the library, and then visit your local library website to start.
Not 100% you will see this without a login… but for example the first magazine from your list in the GC library:

Yeah helpful if you live in one of those states I guess, don't know how they recoup costs though, maybe advertising or maybe ratepayers?
It's not just those states… libraries in other states have been posted here too.
No extra adverts show in the magazines or app… plus you never have to return the magazine, ie its not time limited like other library items.. it stays in your Zinio account from then on. The cost should be covered from your council tax I presume.
Quite amazing how much the library has to offer, streaming documentaries, audio books, ebooks, newspapers, magazines and access to many premium websites for family history and other such research.
Don't get me wrong it's great :) But waste of ratepayers money if that's who pays for it
Well not everybody uses every service offered… :)
Here is the Perth one:
Its not really costing them much more then in the days when they bought the mags. Except they don't have to look after/store the mags & many more of the residents can enjoy them.
Cheap movies as well, from $6.99. Time to use the Telstra credits!
Thanks for the heads up on Mags, not that I will use it but I can let my family know :)
Of those the following can be had free in digital form from Gold Coast library, and most likely others around Australia, through Zinio:
Australian Women's Weekly
Recipes+
Real Living
Dirt Action
Homespun
Road Rider
