sick… with Hep A?
Is this a joke post?
yes it was to get to the other side
Would you like some hepatitis with that?
Ever played with fire?
Yep just immunised up for South America a month ago. All your berries are belong to us!
you guys can now chow down on as much poo covered berries as you like,,oh you lucky things lol,,eeeeekkkk
Got a refund for these with no receipt on the weekend. Turned a small profit too. The list of ingredients on the box is worth a chuckle.
Allergy information:
Warning may contain traces of faeces.
As simple as this comment is its the funniest I've seen in ages.
No shit?
buy fresh aussie berries not imported frozen bad berries
Yeah, even an oz bargainer has limits on what they will buy. You could be paying me to eat them, and I wouldnt, I couldn't.
Are you saying an ozbargainer would refuse free money? I would chow down kilos of those berries for some cash
Maybe it is time to hand back my ozbargainer badge
you would then have to spend that "free" cash to get you stomach pumped and and get vaccinated
I bought 2 of these on the weekend. The only ones recalled off the shelf were all the mixed berries so I worked off the assumption that the raspberries were not poo infested.
It looks like it may only be the mixed variety but if this is my last reply, you'll know why.

I did see that but surely they would include the Creative Gourmet ones if they were also affected.
The consumer recall is for:
Nanna’s Raspberries, 1kg packs, with best before dates until 15/09/16
Nanna’s Mixed Berries 1kg packs, with best before dates until 22/11/16
Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries 300g, with best before dates until 10/12/17
Creative Gourmet Mixed Berries 500g, with best before dates until 06/10/17
DAT iz drooe
let's stop buying imported food from China and start supporting our local produce
^ Can you please stop being racist to my fozen bewwies.
Doesn't that go completely against the Ozbargain ethos?
These are from Chile, I think.
EDIT: Wait, that's the Coles one.
I read that the Chilean berries are shipped to China for processing and packing. Nothing sure how the economics of the transporting product to another continent for processing works.
its called voting with your wallet. EVERY time you chose a cheaper import product over a locally produced product you're sending a message to suppliers/stockers.
Sadly people walk in, look for the cheapest product, buy it, walk out. Then complain that nothing is made in Australia!
end of thread.
There was a recent report that it would cost $100/kg for local frozen berries.
These are really good for jam making as the Hep A virus is denatured by cooking - it's just ignoring how it could get there that's the problem.
Another helpful hint from the home of Garibaldi and The Champion bakery :-/
Yep, I made raspberry coulis out of my Woolworths-brand frozen raspberries - just in case..
Still can't bring myself to eat it though. :|
They're still cheaper at Aldi (different brand).
Where are they made?…most aldi products are made by they same company's with different packaging.fresh is best.
Aldi's are from Chile.
Without consuming fats you die!
Your comment would have had even more oomph, had you chosen FatMan when signing up! Close enough though
Don't forget the faecal proteins
The tag says it ends today…
Nannas pre dipped chocolate fountain berries.
I just came here to write this!
got you that excited, huh ?
I have actually eaten the recalled ones, so I have experience.
Too many crappy jokes!
Saw these in the 'specials' fridge at Woolies Colonnades SA with the big sale sign … laughed out loud - I don't think these are going to be going anywhere any time soon, no matter how cheap they are.
I went into Coles and tried to buy frozen Australian blueberries and couldn't get them!! Even the expensive organic frozen blueberries were a product of USA!!
Disgusting. Does all the prices are down rubbish means standards and hygiene are down too?
You'll probably find all the Aussie grown berries are being exported somewhere else.. Like China. :P
We get the shit quality (in this case literally) berries, and our good ones go back to them. WOOT FOR FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS!
Companies have been doing this for years (family members have worked in fresh produce industry for decades) , has nothing to do with politics. They make more money shipping the good stuff overseas cause they're willing to pay more then aussies so over it goes.
If you want to get angry at politicians try the new zealanders whi have worse food labelling laws then us.
My spidey sense is tingling, i sense a troll approaching from 12 O'clock
aldi ones are cheaper. 500g @ $3.99 for raspberries & blueberries. from chile.
How do you know country of origin? Box I had says imported ingredients, but did not specify a country.
the both the aldi blueberries and aldi raspberries boxes i have say "product of chile". i bought them about a week ago. i've been paying too much at coles.
I called Aldi and they checked their supplier and said Chile too.
Thanks Op, bought 5 boxes, won't need to go to school for awhile.
my first post on here was deemed off topic and now all these others are ok? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/184243
Report them all
So are our Aussie berries only picked by the most hygienic backpackers in the world?
The ones that live in combi vans
Thanks, I will give +1 or -1 in 15 and 50 days according to the government website
Manager should be fired for being so stupid to allow that product on the shelf.
nannas special recipe ;)
so, from which country dk these come?
got some Blue's from Coles for $4.50 from Chili or China (100g less in bag from CN?!?)
Box has a warning:
May be eaten by nuts
I was munching on 1.5kg mixed berries that I purchased from Costco, when I saw the news. Had right abdominal pain shortly after. Got worried my liver was rotting away. Went to the doctor, turns out I was constipated.
I know the solution to your blockage ;)
Pear juice is great for that. Drink 1L of it and I guarantee you'll wish you hadn't.
raspberries are surpising high in fibre.
What country are the Costco ones from?
Not sure it's a joke mate:
Real berries. Half price. No sh*t.
True story.
There's been a reduction in demand recently :(
I wonder why? I know I wont ever be buying imported frozen berries ever again…
sounds fowl…
Where can you get frozen Aussie (or at least NZ) berries? Can't find any.
They just have that damn fresh stuff :(
Careful of NZ. Reading some of the articles & comments on the Choice website, apparently NZ doesn't have the same labeling laws as we do on country of origin. Combined with our trade agreement with NZ, means that some products get "packaged" in NZ & appear on our shelves & we have no idea where the ingredients are sourced from.
Take with a grain of salt as I haven't researched this to confirm. Its true, they're laws are even more pitiful than ours. As long as it is packaged in NZ it can be labelled "Product of NZ" even though everything in that bag including the bag itself could be from outside NZ
gr8 advice
A lot of sh*t can be on half a berry.
Just saying.
A lot of berries can be on half a sh*t
Just saying.
A lot of people talk a lotta sh*t. Just sayin'
Confused… Are berries half price or sh*t is half price.
Came for the comments, wasn't left disappointed.
BLUE: the colour of your lips (goes well with jaune, especially if you're Swedish)
RASP: the sound of your breathing

The way to sell these is in a combo deal with a hep A test kit.
