Needed a ladder to install some Phillips Master LED downlights I just purchased, went to my local Bunnings and found this for $19.95 which I thought was a pretty decent deal given the 0.9m one was about twice the price. Seems to be an everyday price, not sure if available at other stores, one left.

Who in the hell would neg this post? Seriously? <Facepalm>
apparently Ozbb is pro-electricution and anti-electrician
One might neg this deal if link only went to Bunning site rather than the item in question.
And when one goes looking for the specific ladder when location is set to Caringbah (or any other store), the price says $44.90….the price says $44.90….
For the 1.8m - this deal is for 1.5m
OK, let's be serious then.
citybargainhunter never specified what he actually bought.
- Most downlight globes are 12 volt.
- Most people buy retrofit LED globes, there is no electrical wiring required.
- Even if they are the 240v globes, they are no more dangerous than replacing a normal light bulb. Do you call an electrician to replace your normal light bulbs? If not, do you use expensive fibreglass ladders when you do?
- If he bought a downlight kit to replace existing 12v downlights, he may have sockets in the ceiling that he can just plug into. This is no more dangerous than plugging in a toaster. Do you call an electrician to plug in a toaster?
- He could just turn the power off to the house if he's as paranoid as all of you.
Thank you pmupsinep! I could not have put it any better myself. I was merely replacing the globes, which required unplugging old ones and plugging in the new ones. :)
On a side note, I bought these Phillips Master 5.5 warm white LED globes for under $10 each off Ebay, they are non dimmable but am very happy with them so far. I've just order 40 more from the same seller. I think I will post a separate deal for it.
Want to replace the 12v halogens for cooler LED globes.
Appreciate a link.Any suggestions?

make sure yours have the MR16 connector
Thanks nate
Which is your local bunnings ? the online price is $44
Caringbah, 1.5m, not 1.2 or 0.9m which for whatever reason cost a lot more.
Galvanised steel? Id prefer an ally ladder if I was picking metal.
If you're dealing with 240v I would either get a fiberglass ladder or get a qualified sparky.
