Saw it while in store. Tried to search if it had been posted before but couldn't find anything.

Comparing the quality of black flag to Unity, it's pretty obvious why Unity is cheaper than it's one year older sibling.
I guess that answers my question as to whether the performance issues were sorted out, and if it ever actually became a decent game.
I guess if you could pick it up for a tenner, you'd probably be willing to forget all the problems.
At least until "Assassin's Creed: Rehash" comes out in November this year.
Agreed, black flag is a better game period.
Big W has weeeeird pricing on games.
So, what are peoples thoughts on Unity? I don't have PS+, so primarily play will single player (will prob pay eventually though). I did enjoy Black Flag on the PS3.
Worth picking up now? Or, as Trickery mentioned, only worth after heavily discounted?
Argh. Sorry Trickey, autocorrect :D
Its had 5 patches now and I'm really enjoying it
My favourite thing about Assassin's Creed is Death match. I can't believe they excluded it from Unity.
Does this have a decent single player story? Or just MP?
I hear mixed reports. Used to be that AC's primary focus was story. Now that YOU are the protagonist (This is the single stupidest thing is any videogame ever, by the way) the story just isn't there anymore. All the out-of-animus set pieces feel silly and over-dramatic, and it doesn't feel like it's building up to one big event anymore (And the 'big event' at the end of 3 was hugely disappointing).
Even inside the animus, it doesn't have the sort of instense, suspenseful, conspiracy-heavy setting that 1 and 2 had. But to answer your question, the story is okay. But if you're getting an AC game for story and you've never played one, get AC2.
Played all the rest, up to black flag anyway. Might wait for a bigger price drop then.. Only want it for the story!
:(You might want to pick up Rogue, then. It has a stronger story, but suffers from Copy-paste syndrome.
@FrankMcFuzz: Yeh, I'd completely missed Rogue, seemed to be obscured by Unity! Thanks for the tip.

Which, once again, proves my point that the LOUDEST game, not the BEST, sells better and gets more attention. Besides, when Ubisoft said "We can't put female characters in because it would cost more than we could afford", you absolutely knew that their entire development method was taking the piss out of the whole industry.
I actually liked the game but the FPS dips reallllly low like 10ish FPS low and is usually around 20.(Xbox one) At least the game looks pretty decent now, however the game play is pretty much the same, if you expecting a more in depth system. This isn't it, they just removed some features and that was kinda ment to make the game harder(but not really the gear progression is kinda screwed up if you improve your villa and you get the end game gear the game becomes easy mode, I was 1 shotting a lot of my enemies)
The most redeeming factor is easily the city itself, an amazing recreation and really felt like believable and beautiful at the same time.
I'd give it 7/10, 8 if it had better performance but honestly it's horrendous.
Some of these prices are ridiculous. Black flag still 59 bucks what?
