So about a month ago I purchased the Mi fitness band that was listed as a deal here on OzBargain. And I was really excited about the vibration alarm function, I wake up annoyed when having a musical alarm. Anyways, to my surprise when I got the band set-up and everything I came to notice that the vibration mechanism doesn't work at all, so being my stubborn self I spent a few hours trying dozens of different versions of the app, different phones etc… and I still couldn't get it to work.
I did the obvious and reached out to the custom support at Banggood, their initial reply was rather quick (about 1 days delay) and they asked for my order details, and a video proving the fault. So I send them the order-id as well as the video file, they reply shortly after stating that they have matched the order-id (about 2 weeks ago) and since then I haven't had a single reply, I've sent them 3 emails (about 4 days intervals) asking them politely to update me on the status. I use a gmail plugin to see if someone has opened an email, they've opened all of them. Are they just ignoring me? So far I've been speculating whether the item is genuine or fake, apparently this is an issue that commonly occurs on fake versions of the mi band.
I know it's "only" $19, and they are a china based, however it doesn't justify selling faulty items and ignoring custom support. Has anyone experienced this before with Banggood?
Sounds like you've done what you've needed to to try and sort the issue out. At this stage I would do a PayPal claim based on the item being faulty or not as described.
