Thanks OP :) My 1yo will love this.
Surely there would be a massive long list of terms and conds for this.
My kids have a mass amount of LEGO at home and the stuff they build and "try" to carry at once would be a lot of LEGO to be able to "take".
They give you a few bricks / small model. It's nothing much but still free.
has anyone ever been to one of these before? What is a newbie to expect?
There's going to be tears.
there's always tears when toddlers are involved.
Don't expect much. Usually you get a small toy and an a very apathetic toys r us worker who just sits there.
Won't they check for a VIP card?
No
Make your booking via the website. When you arrive at your assigned time, they'll mark your name off, give you a little pouch of instructions and a set to make the parrot as pictured in the promo. You get to keep the lego and memories of the event. I have been to a few and the kids love it..and the shopping that comes with it after..
Oh so we're going to play with 7 lego pieces?
They should give us more pieces eh?
Took my kids today. It's absolutely stupid. There is just a table at the entrance and you get to keep one brick from about 7 containers of different blocks. So 7 bricks. And that's it! Then go home
Waste of time. I had the idea that they could build a range of things and take home
I warned you there'd be tears
Thanks my two year old had a great time today. We remade the bird again tonight, perfect for her age group.
My daughter took about 55 seconds to complete the parrot…
I briefed my daughter before going in… Now look here, doesn't matter what you build just use as many pieces as possible and make it big… Yes Dad, sure Dad…
Didn't I get sucked in… Should have read the fine print…
It was funny actually… Lots of crying kids….
Very clever marketing plot I reckon… Get you in the door, make a 7 block parrot it was supposed to look like… And try and stop your child from walking through the store saying I want this I want that…
