Yesssss Lindt blocks, oh how I've been waiting for you to be 50% off again <3

    • It's been 5 months!! I actually checked OzBargain about 2 hours before this was posted to see if anything had come up. Thanks Trent86!

      • I see you live in Perth, so you don't have any Harris Farm Market stores where they sometimes have them for $2.

    • woohoo! i've run out of stock from last time. i had to buy some aldi stuff but the 75% chocolate is loaded with sugar.

curse you woolworths for not letting us use the $25 off voucher!

  • Coke cans $14.74 in the land of the 10c refund aka SA please OP

    • +5

Can't you guys just assume that that will be the case, without requiring it to be added to every single post featuring soft-drink etc., as a cumbersome wee footnote?

      • +2

        No

      • -1

Not really, it is useful to know what the price is in your own state or territory in the post because the price of $13.40 also doesn't reflect NT ($15.44) and Tas ($13.14 without EDR).

        • "it is useful to know what the price is in your own state or territory…"

What you personally would find useful, and what can be realistically expected in every post including drinks, are different things. Are you suggesting that as well as what the OP originally posted, they should have researched exact prices in NT, Tas and SA, and re SA perhaps researched the refund per can, how many cans were in the box, done the relevant calculations, and also supplied the final amount that would ultimately have been paid for the box assuming all cans were returned? Where do you draw the line?

        • @GnarlyKnuckles:
I'm actually suggesting that Food is allowed to contribute to the original post by pointing out the difference in price.

I don't expect the OP to look at every variation of the catalogue and know the price difference for each state and that Tas doesn't have the same feta on sale. These details can be contributed by other members.

Considering "10c refund at SA/NT collection depots in State/Territory of purchase" is written on all products that can be recycled for a refund, I don't think a lot of "research" is needed.
From there I do expect most Ozbargainers to know their 10x tables.

        • @durd0008:
'Food' suggested that the OP should include the exact SA price (presumably before returning any cans) in the original post. That is what I (as evidently you?) disagree with.

Also, re this part of your recent response to me:

'From there I do expect most Ozbargainers to know their 10x tables.'

I pretty much also suggested that same thing (in slightly different way; i.e. I was suggesting that our SA users could probably be trusted to add roughly the correct amount to factor in the difference in their local laws), and note the following response, again from 'Food':

'There isn't just 10c times however many cans/bottles slapped on to the cost, most times the actual difference varies.'

Anyways, enough said about such a trivial issue. It will be interesting to see if future posters decide that they should include individual NT,Tas and SA (with and without per-bottle rebate?) prices in any posts containing a price for a drink.

    • Put in post

No don't. If it only applied to some brands/cans, then it would be worth noting, when it was and was not the case. But it applies across the board, by law; so there's no need to keep reminding every user of the same South Australian regulation, in every post featuring cans. That's just silly.

        • There isn't just 10c times however many cans/bottles slapped on to the cost, most times the actual difference varies.

        • +1

@Food: As evidenced by the $1.34 price difference despite the fact that the can deposit should be $2.40? So people in SA are getting the coke cheaper than everyone else?

      • Thanks, and cheers for the post

  • Thanks, OP. I must have bought maybe 10 of the lindt at the last sale, and they didn't last long.

  • When are these prices available?
