I was really wanting to get this chair when I first saw it mid last year but Ikea only had it for $399 in leather.

I finally decided to make the plunge and when I got there they had this new model (article number: 502.611.51) for only $199!

The only difference is it is fabric not leather and has rubberized arm rests. Functionally the chair is identical.

This is a really good price for such a well built chair. 10 Year Ikea Warranty

Note: Stock is very limited! There are currently two left at Richmond store and some stock arriving on Friday at the Springvale location.

Other colors are available but best call to confirm price and availability before making the trip as I know the blue model is still $399.

Not sure about other states as I am in VIC.

  It's nothing like the Aeron, so it's not worth comparing.
  
  It's pretty comfortable, but I always found it a bit too expensive at $399. Might be worth it now. :)

  This has a recline function that is lockable at any increment. I think the ones you are referring to are fixed.
