My first post!
Been looking at buying a charcoal bbq and saw a weber compact on clearance sale for $118.80 at BigW Rouse Hill.
They had 2 left. RRP is $198.
These have a 2 year warranty unlike the other more expensive models which have 10 years.
The item is available nationwide, check website for stock levels.

Awesome, thanks OP, been after one of these for ages! Just picked one up from Karringal, Vic. They have 5 left now
I bought exact same size (not weber) for $49 @ bunning. Not really understand what the warranty is for. Its just pieces of metals stucked together. Normally I just buy a new one after three years or so. Fresh metal grill.
4 negs and no comment. Just laziness.
Generally there is a big difference between Weber quality and no name brands, Webers retain heat better and last longer. The Weber compact however is not very highly regarded.
there was 2 of these at Big W Blacktown as well
Thanks for the post. Been looking for a Weber for a while now and couldn't resist at this price
Price matched at Masters for $106. Thanks op!
Your welcome :-)
Used the 10% off thing eh?
Got one from Rouse Hill. One left :)
2 year limited warranty

Hmm yeah 2 years in specs. OP what's this 5 year warranty?
Saw the 5 years warranty on the Weber website. I will update the post.
But if it's 5 years on the Weber site.. shouldn't that take precedence?
@CVonV:
I would have thought so. I don't know who to believe lol.
Wow, these are quite pricey. Glad I bought this deal, don't think I would pay that much for a kettle BBQ just because it's a Weber.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/176356I have the Jamie O bbq, it is just ok, but a bit small if you are cooking for more than 4 people. The Weber is larger and much better quality overall. I am thinking of selling my J.O bbq and getting this Weber.
Mine is on the balcony so rather it was smaller. I tend to bbq cocktail style through the night rather than single meals and it's bigger than my last bbq so all good. Main reason I got it was it has a lid and the last one didn't, and it was a bit bigger
What specifically do u find better quality about it? Thicker gauge steel?
The tray for the charcoal has become distorted on mine, the Weber tray looks more sold. Also, the Weber tray has inbuilt v-grooves for the fire lighters, makes it easy to get the charcoal fired up.
Wow, really cheap. So good for smoking meats.
guys noob here, which way does the charcoal grill go? indents facing down or up? i would think down? also, the charcoal baskets go on top of the charcoal grill?
assembly instructions don't show :(
hey guys is this still coming up as 118.80 for you? it's showing the original price for me…
No, It's back to $198.
Yeah this is part of the bigw 40% off all outdoor gear. Apparently only this weekend.
