Wow, cheaper than one at a bar

  • Great price.
    Are they close to/past expiry?

    • Updated above.

  • any other NQRs with the same deal?

    • Not sure, I don't know if NQR have the same stuff in all stores in general or not.

  • sending hubby up there today i love this stuff!

Something about this sounds not quite right

    • -4

As OP mentioned, it's going past best before on 3/3/15, and they clearly have a LOT of stock. They'd never clear that much stock without reducing it heavily, so it sounds about right to me.

      NQR = Not Quite Right

Besides I posted it before op revised the post .

hubby just went up there and said that some are use by jan 2016 some are jan 2015 so just check them all before buying

    • Can you ask him if people seemed to be flocking to them?
I can only go after work today.

      • +1

he said it was dead and there are heaps but about half are out of date

  • Plenty of these at sunshine store about 2 weeks ago. They had jim beam and cola/dry 375ml cans for $17.99 for a six pack

  • -3

Price doesn't really seem that good.. ~$2.25 per can, @330ml though.

600ml are regularly on special for ~$6.

Considering they're short date, I'd expect better.

    • +7

The bigger bottles are only 500mL, not 600.
Even at $6 per bottle, that is $1.20/100mL
With this deal, its $0.68/100mL, almost half that 'special' price.

      • -2

Fair enough. Point still stands though, for the short date stock anyway.

        • Except, your 'point' doesn't really stand at all, as was pointed out by the op's above comment.

        • @Puff Braddy:
technically his point does still stand, as he was wrong both times.
          lol.

Will dan murphy or liquor land price match this?

    • +1

I would think no, due to being clearance.

  • I just called them and apparently this is their normal price? Lol either way, they are a good deal!

    • Yeh, noticed them a couple of weeks ago at Croydon NQR. As is typical for NQR, they'll drop the price when it's a couple of months past expiry. :P

  • +2

I suspect its BEST BEFORE not an expiry date.

    • You would be correct.

  • +1

It is indeed a 'Best Before' date. I've had Rekorderlig bottles a few months past their dates before without issue, if anyone was concerned. Thanks OP, and for anyone else who is interested, there were still a good couple dozen of slabs (6 x 4) on display when I went at 4ish. They may have more out back, but who knows.

best flavour ever, though it's way too sweet like soft drink.
