Was at a suburban Pharmacy and saw this job ad.
I'm pretty sure this is illegal and if so, who do I complain to?
Edit- the section I'm concerned about btw is "junior only, Mature Age need not apply"
What you reckon?

It is illegal in Australia too. If reported, the employee will most likely be fined. Prospective employees can also sue him for discrimination. I think the debate here is more about whether we should report him or not.
cheers. speak up. end of story. this beautiful country gets screwed over and over, because aussies are often too laid back and dgaf enough to speak up. i have many examples of this. speak up be heard Australia. Reclaim your nation.
One Australian is speaking up about Human Rights
If reported, the
employeeemployer will most likely be fined
It is illegal. The OP didn't ask whether people personally agree with the discrimination law, but whether or not age-based discrimination is legal.
People need to comprehend the question before answering it.
How many 16yr olds have 3yrs of working at a pharmacy already? Unless it's a family business I didn't think you were legally allowed to work at 13?
3 years experience is require for different position…
Read carefully!
It's not illegal to advertise for a junior.
But expecting them to have 3 years pharmacy experience? Head up arse…
Blame award wages. Why would anyone pay a senior 100% award rate ($19) without any experience. Yet a 14 year old with the same skill level (no experience) only needs to be paid 50% ($9.50) of the 21 year old.
No need to pay $20 for a checkout chick when u can pay $10 for a girl who can do just as good a job.
The advertiser is just saving your time anyway. They will weed out the oldies.
they would be fined up the schwazoo in Canada as it is against the Charter of Rights. Still trying to figure how it works down here.
