  • Good price but pretty sure this 'physical' copy has a download code inside instead of a disc.

If so, might be better grabbing the digital version+season pass for $37 AUD from Amazon.

  • I would only go physical for the Gold Edition, which has the pass inside

  • +3

    Meanwhile, on Steam, it's $6.79.

    • Yeah…pretty happy I went with the lounge gaming PC / xbox controller setup instead of going for a new console…PC game prices are too cheap to ignore ;)

good deal… if you are happy to keep upgrading your PC to play the latest games.

      • You clearly have no idea.

      • You have the option to upgrade whenever you see fit. Some people keep their rigs for years without much serious upgrading & they can still play a lot of titles. Perhaps they might have to reduce some of the more extreme settings, 8X AA or something, for example. I have to do that with some titles in order to maintain >60fps @ 1080p but that is still at a significantly greater quality than any consoles can maintain.

I have nothing against consoles; I buy them mostly for the exclusives, but Steam's pricing leaves all console prices way behind. The money you save using Steam in a year might actually be enough upgrade your gfx card annually.

      • my 3 year old intel i3-2500k and ATI R9 270 video card (which cost me $130 last year) plays Dying Light at 1080p and 20-40 frames per second with all the graphical options set to maximum (with the nvidia specific options disabled).

I bought a PS4 last year and it's still in it's box. At least when I do open it and set it up I'll have almost a year's worth of PSN+ games to download and play. The only originals I have for PS4 are The Last of US, Little Big Planet 3 and the last Trials game (which included the season pass).

    • Steam version's multiplayer is dead. Can't find any games. But yeah if you're playing solo or local coop, that would be the better version to buy.

      • Given that there is currently a sale on it seems strange the MP is dead, that is usually when games have a spike in MP players. At least, that is the way it seems to have been for me in the past with other games.

Still, I don't know how good the MP is that one could justify the extra $28.21

        • It's more fun with extra players. The amulet power is shared across every player. In the first game, if you had scattershot equipped and your partner had power shot, you each only have what you equipped. In this game, you would both have both abilities, provided you both have full relic bar. If you had 4 players, you would be sharing 4 different amulets, for more insane fun.

I do not know how many people are still playing it on PS4, but I only started playing it on PC yesterday and today, and we could never find a game. The game is very short and it's been 2 months since release. I'd say a majority of the people who were interested in the game already bought the game, completed it and moved on. It is maybe 6 hours long.

        • @lostn:

The length of the game is the most likely reason people have moved on. If that is the case however, buying it on PS4 from Target in Aus probably isn't going to result in more games available.

Having said all of this, I haven't even completed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light from a few years ago. :D

  • They did press discs, as my review copy was one… http://gamesblip.com/review-LARACROFTTOO.htm

I'm not sure what's in the retail package though.

    • US versions were code only. EU versions had game disc. It will require a full install though, and probably requires the disc inside.
