Is DWI Direct Deposit safe? I'm planning to buy something from there but every other payment option has a 2% transaction fee. Anyone have any experience with this?

DWI are reputable - bought from them in the past without issues.
Although I usually pay with credit and take the hit for the added benefit of:
- Buyer protection (in case of fraud and also chargeback)
- 90 day purchase insurance against theft, loss or damage, and also 1 year additional extended warranty (Citibank)
- Reward pointsI've done it on a ~$800 phone. They're legit, although like cuteseal said you get a few benefits if you use CC.
I had an incident where they deliberately sent me (and others) the wrong phone, and had to return it at my own expense to receive a refund that was promised but never materialised. Several times when I phoned I was told 'today' but it never materialised.
Eventually after several weeks I had to resort to a Paypal claim, and even then they lied to paypal about having received it back from me. Fortunately I had emails to the contrary. If I had paid direct deposit, I don't believe I'd have ever seen my money back.
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 mobile phone from Digital World International of Hong Kong (Dwidigitalcameras.com.au) on 11.04.2014. This mobile and my subsequent dealings with DWI have been a disaster. From the start, the mobile was not able to switch between 3G and 4G networks. I contacted them via their website and they asked me to troubleshoot which I did without success. They then tol d me to send the phone back to them. They returned it several weeks later and told me that it was fixed. But this was only the start of the problems.
Randomly, incoming calls could not be answered because the screen froze. I contacted them. Again we went through the troubleshooting exercise without success. Again they asked me to send it back to them. They returned it after several weeks and assured me that the problem was fixed. However within two days the problem occurred again. I send it back. They returned it after several more weeks and said it was fixed 100%. The problem re-occurred and we went through the same thing. This time they claimed to have replace the motherboard. Before I got the phone back I asked them for a refund as I had realised by then that it was unfit for purpose. They offered me only AUD$225.50 which I rejected because I had purchased it for AUD$622.!!
The phone came back and within a few days I realised that there is now a signal problem with the phone which prevents me from receiving some incoming calls and making some outgoing calls. To prove that the fault is with the phone, I moved my SIM card to another phone and I didn't have the problem. Today, I have complained to DWI about this problem as well.
The end result is that I have not had a satisfactory mobile for 10 months . I have had the inconvenience of having to contact DWI on numerous occasions and of having to send and collect the phone, each time being assured that it has been fixed, only to find that problems continue.
In the circumstances, I regard the so-called refund which they offered as an insult. It is obvious that DWI treat their customers very poorly. I strongly advise that you do not deal with them. No!
I've used it before and had no issues. I paid around $400.
