  • Queen size comes to $99 after discount. Unfortunately for me they only have a 40cm side which won't fit if you have a high-top mattress.

    • where do you get the ones for high tops? or do you just buy 2x flat sheets?

      • High sided fitted sheets are becoming the norm in the US, but they're still often marketed as "Super Queen" in Australia.

  • No King size included in sale it seems

Any opinions if the really expensive sateen ones are worth the money?

    $470 e.g. for http://www.canningvale.com/bedroom/sheet-sets/king-sheets/mi…

Don't understand why they only sell sets including both a flat and a fitted sheet, I only want fitted

    • Err.. How would you use a fitted sheet for the top sheet?
Fitted goes on the mattress, flat on top.

Unless you don't use a top sheet at all?

      • the bottom sheet wears out quicker?

      • I'm 34 and have never made a bed with anything other than a fitted sheet.

I had no idea flat sheets were put on top of a fitted sheet, I thought it was one or the other on top of the mattress / mattress protector.

        • OK.. either a fitted OR flat sheet can be used on the mattress, under the person (fitted = better)

But what do you cover yourself with ?

I thought all beds were made with a bottom sheet, a top sheet (the human goes inbetween the fitted bottom and flat top sheets) and then optionally zero-to-many blankets on top.

        • I use a mattress protector on the bare mattress, then a fitted sheet, then me, then a single blanket (contained in a doona cover). Vary the thickness of the doona/blanket inside the doona cover according to season (sometimes use an empty doona cover).

        • Using a fitted sheet, then a flat sheet on top of that which you actually lie on seems redundant - Why bother with nice material if you're not going to touch it or see it? Isn't that what a mattress protector is for?

          @y:
Flat sheet on top which you lie on ?
Noooo…. the flat sheet goes on TOP of the person, not under them, as that would be redundant lying on 2 layers of sheets (plus a mattress protector).

The reason I always use a flat top sheet is:

          • in Summer in hotter climates (QLD) often the light top flat sheet is the only thing you want on top of you when its too hot for any blanket/doona.

          • you can change your sheets (top and bottom) each week, more conveniently that removing the doona from inside the quilt cover and washing the quilt cover every week. If only washing the doona cover once a month, by the end of that month its not as fresh (after lying on people for 200+ hours) as a top sheet washed every week.

          • the quilt/doona top-most layer of your bed is the part that dust settles on 24 hours a day. With a flat top sheet, the top ~20CM is is often folded under the quilt during the day (looks neater) but folded over the top of the quilt/doona when you sleep - so the part of the top covering you snuggle up around your neck/face/nose is covered by that fresh sheet folded over the top, not potentially a dusty doona quilt cover.

Of course anyone is free to make their bed the way their feel most comfortable.

          For me its always:
          ..Doona (if not too hot)
          ..Top flat sheet
          ..Me
          ..Bottom fitted sheet
          ..Mattress protector
          ..Mattress

    • I'm the same. I only want fitted.

  • Only 51% cotton.

    • didn't read that much into the description. - yeah, that's very very very average

  • +1

These are 49% Polyester!!!!! Cotton rich??, load of dodgy marketing rubbish in my opinion.

    • didn't read that much into the description. - yeah, that's very very very average

  • I have a sheet set of 1000TC Canningvale Mille which is RRP $450. 100% cotton. Quality is awesome.
Not sure if 49% polyester is cool, especially for hot sleepers.
    Any feedback from those experienced?

  • Kogan now also selling cheap sheets. Are these any good?
