I miss the days when the Streetwise combo was $5.95 (chips, small drink and burger)…

I have taken a pic with my phone. 675k file. Not the best, but may suffice until someone else has a better image. Otherwise use the previous pic from rayboy2016. If they reject it, they don't want your business, & go elsewhere.

Epic, the double combo is awesome value, I heard you don't even need to vouchers anymore you just say I want to order the double combo or cheap as chips

    • +1

I think the 'cheap as chips' is pretty much all year round.

      • +3

        *misleading title.

Large KFC chips are $4.75. all prices here are more than $4.75

        • Title amended as per original voucher. ;-)

QLD missed out again - however we are still enjoying the 9 pieces for $9.95 deal (Tuesday only)

No Double Down Dog, no deal!

Need cheap flights to the Philippines. Also probably don't look for pics of how that thing really looks, lol.

  • for the cheap as chips deal, isn't it the same as the streetwise feast with the 2 gravy replacing the 3 strips.

  • They don't make these coupons for WA enough. I always enjoy getting the double combo for lunch. :P

Here's what happened when i tried to get kfc using these vouchers from my phone @ my local kfc.

Me: hi i have this voucher, would like deal #2 pls (holds phone towards kfc bird behind the counter)
Kfc bird: one moment, let me check with my manager.
    Me: ok
Kfc bird: (after asking her manager) Sorry we can't take vouchers on smartphones, they need to be in print and handed over to us for book keeping.
Me: really? I had no such problem at another store.
    Kfc bird: sorry sir
Me: (at this point pissed off, but still hungry) ok, no worries. I'd like to order blah blah blah.
Kfc bird: (puts the order in, confirms i wanna pay with card, makes the terminal ready and leaves the register)
Me: (Tap&pay Amex, doesnt' work, insert Amex, doesn't work, swipe Amex, still no go. Different kfc bird comes along, doesn't work. At this point i've got the shits, as a true OzB guy this means no triple points!)
Me: Look don't worry about it. Sorry i don't have any other money or cards (walk out of store)
    Kfc bird: speechless

I'm pretty sure the food would have been half cooked already. I thought it was the best move in that state of mind. Seriously though another local store had no problem honouring from my smartphone. What the hell is wrong with some people??

I would support you in your choices.

    • +6

      Cool story bro

    • Maybe contact KFC in regards to this KFC.

    • I don't think KFC takes Amex, at least mine doesn't.

      • I was thinking the same thing. A number of places don't accept Amex or charge a surcharge (2.2% is my cost to my business inc GST).

    • +1

You still couldn't buy it if they accepted the voucher as pay by card didn't work. All I have to say "God want you to diet!".

      • I could have paid by cash then. I just used the card not working as an excuse to walk away :)

heard a new one the other day: KFC = Kids Fattening Centre

  • +4

Wish they had more deals for us loners who just want to get fat by ourselves…

    • +2

Haha, I've been calling for that for yonks, I call it the fat boy deal.

Family packs are too much and the so called lunch meals are too small. There needs to be something in between…

Though I'll gouging on the 24nuggets for a while

      • Where do you live? Maybe we can be fat loners together?

  • +1

If only they have the double down dog…

  • Where is WA?

    • +7

On the Western side of Australia..

  • I like the double combo and if I'm ordering for (naughty) myself, I swap the two drink cans for a large coleslaw, this was at KFC strathfield south, then I quickly drive around to macca's (on the same block) and get a large frozen coke.

  • Bugger, no single twister deal :(

  • +3

I honestly think the regular menu option of Zinger Stacker Box for $12.95 to be a better option than the double deal, if its for one person. You get the zinger stacker with two chicken paddys, two diff souces, two cheese slice, its much tastier than a reg zinger and saves you a load of carbs from eating two zinger buns, yet is nearly as filling due to the double paddys. It also comes with 3 wicked wings, potato&gravy, chips, drink. It has a bit of everything! Its the perfect meal to fill you up and cover over two thirds of your daily caloric intake needs :P

  • Does anyone know where I can get the actual coupons of the deal rather then printing it out?

For some reason, they have now stop delivering it to my letterbox now, haven't seem them for at least two years now.

    • Try different KFC stores, some are nicer than others. I just tell them I have a coupon (on my phone), and they haven't asked to see it twice.

My brother in law used to deliver these "coupons" from various vendors, e.g. Pizza Hut, and I can tell you, it was a lucrative business. Post GFC, these vendors have printed and handed them out in their own stores, relying on repeat customers. Some still do it the old fashion way, but most have ceased.

Prior to discovering ozbargain.com.au I used to contemplate stealing the neighbour's coupons, lucky it was just a thought. I love macca's two big macs for $5 which was better than 2 whoppers @ $5.95 (at the time). I stopped checking the mailbox for the pamplet with the coupons when they jacked up the price of 2 big macs to $6.

      • +1

I still get vouchers for two bigmacs for $5, vouchers on the back of receipts at Big W is where I always find that deal in ACT.

    • I had the same issue a few years ago myself. I noticed we weren't receiving as much as usual.

It turns out the company distributing brochures in the area were not distributing all products to all areas.

Sometimes some brochures, flyers, free newspapers are distributed according to demographics of areas/postcodes. I worked for a large retailer, and sometimes we had to skip certain areas, as we didn't have enough catalogues to cover the Newcastle area.

      Maybe contact KFC

  • The 24 Nugget deal seems popular.

  • +2

Ok i took the liberty of scanning it..

    https://www.scribd.com/doc/254156934/Kfc-2015

However the wicked wings deal appeared to be broden before I scanned it. lol.
Feel free to use my replacement instead.

    Cheers..

  • can someone post a high resolution scan of the kfc voucherS?

    thanks

  • Why doesn't WA ever get Vouchers? Are they owned by a different company or something?!

    Answer here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/173225

  • Most of these are available on the KFC Xpress App in the Tasty Rewards section. A Manager said that they will usually accept most vouchers, even if they have expired, but it is usually up to the Store Managers discretion.
