Might be getting hammered.
Didn't work for me either
Neither. Non AU account with an ongoing subscription. Previous code that went out in the past week or so worked ok.
edit: Also got the error on my partners account which also has an ongoing non-AU subscription.
As per some peoples suggestion, I contacted support and the $10 was applied by them manually.
Not working for me :/
If you redeemed the offer for Audible credit from Budget last year, you may not be eligible. But if you contact Audible (chat or email is fine), they should issue you the credit.

I had to do that with chat. Took 2 minutes. Their CS is great.
I concur.
"I'm terribly sorry about the inconvenience this may have caused. I have gone ahead and issued you that $10 coupon to your account. Please refresh your page to see that coupon balance."
Worked for me. Thanks!
Great find. Thank you!
Works well,
Thanks OP, 20 $ credit now,Anyone know if the audiobooks are DRm protected or normal Mp3 ?
DRM protected and watermarked (so if they find you've stripped the DRM and put them up on a torrent site, they can track the files to you).
I recently tried to strip the DRM using a free program (not to share with others, but because I prefer to Listen Audiobook Player on my phone, and had no luck. After lots of mucking about could strip the DRM but the resulting MP3s were corrupted (played back but had lots of noise over the top).
Yeah, it is annoying that you are limited to using their app on android to listen to them. iOS allows you to play it with either the apple player or audible app. If they are whispersync and you have the kindle bok you can listen through the kindle app too. Fortunately though the app isn't bad now. I just don't like the lack of choice…
I was initially worried about them disappearing and loosing my library, but that doesn't seem to be an issue.
It's not bad, I just find Listen to be better. Particularly the way their 'sleep' function works.
I believe this still works. You can strip the DRM by importing into iTunes. Then burning a CD from iTunes, then ripping the CD to mp3s. A PITA, but use a CDRW and you won't need a stuck of CDs.
Personally, I like their app and it's available on almost everything.
… use a virtual cd drive (aka HDD)
(I know nothing about DRM stripping but I don't think you will need to use a physical disk for this).
That should work too I guess. Never tried it myself as I've always had Audible app compatible devices and never had an issue with the DRM.
I've successfully stripped audible files many times before the process is fairly simple I have it noted in a doc at home will try to post it tonight. It does require a free third party program and takes about 20 mins per book half on my slow laptop.
The Toolkit download and instructions are provided by @toxiclabs from the afterdawn forums #kudos
http://www.mediafire.com/download/9fygexafebbccym/Toolkit.ra…
The rar contains
ActiveSetupN.exe
AudibleMediaPlayerFilter.exe
Extract to C-Windows.zip
Guide Read me.rtf
gwave506.exe
lame_enc.dll
MSVCI70.dllThe "Guide read me" contains the instructions they are fairly simple, in them it does state to uninstall any current audible manager programs before starting but I skipped that and it still worked fine.
Note this does not work on the enhanced format books so make sure you select format 4 from you library on the audible website when downloading
Thanks Ops.
Goes well with my multiple accounts :-)Worked for me, thanks!
All I get is:
Sorry, we seem to be having trouble processing your request. Please try again in a few moments. If the problem persists, contact Customer Care at 1-888-283-5051.Worked for me on my US account. These two $10 coupons have been great!
Works, thanks. If you're having problem getting the deal thru Deal link above, browse to audible.com , login, then click
Browse Audiobooks menu on top right, then Redeem a Promo Code and type BUDGET2015
Thanks. Unfortunately, even after doing that it still says:
Sorry, we seem to be having trouble processing your request. Please try again in a few moments. If the problem persists, contact Customer Care at 1-888-283-5051.Same no luck was able to get $10 on the last promo though.

Didn't work for me on US account. Code last week worked
The code didn't work for me but I went over to their chat help and the guy gave me $10 credit without asking any questions. Now I have $20 :)
Which option?
My resolutionwas: "I'll submit a ticket to be forwarded to the Support Specialist for them to have this fix." /:
I chose Technical Issue and the guy didn't have a problem at all.
Worked for me too.
Just selected "Technical Issue" and 2 mins later, solved. :)
thanks, nice find
Still works - 27.1, 9:11 AM WST.
I can't seem to find any audiobook I like for under $10 though.
Credit lasts till 28/3/2015.This should help.
I can't seem to find any audiobook I like for under $10 though.
If you like the classics, you can get a lot for $0-$1 each.
First, make sure you Amazon US and Audible US accounts are linked.
Then pick a kindle edition ($0-$0.99) from this list.
Then go to Audible to find the linked audiobook and pay for the audiobook using your credit. You can even choose between different narrators (eg) with a few titles, just look for the red text "Whispersync for Voice-ready" in the Audible search results.
You can tell it's linked with your Kindle version by the text "Because you own the Kindle edition, get this audiobook for the reduced price of…" on the product page.Eg:
The Time Machine by HG Wells. Kindle price US$0. Add Audible audiobook for US$0. Total price US$0.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Kindle price US$0. Add Audible audiobook for US$0.99. Total price US$0.99.Audible also have a Daily Deal where they discount a book to $1-$6. So check once a day to see if it's anything you like.
To add to this:
radio shows, comedy and some scifi is also quite cheap. My cart:
All for $19
(thanks for your tip as well):
This just worked for me. I used the code last week too. I went through the Audible app on my phone, maybe give that a try if it doesn't work on computer.
How do you redeem it through the app?
While connected to the internet load the app.
Go to the shopping section via the shopping cart icon. This will load a page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose promo code.
No dice good idea though thanks.
Any free 2 month trials going on right now?
audible.com/twit2 Should work.
Been trying for a few hours, still not working for me. Non active subscription, have bought books before.
I couldn't apply this with a US subscription account. Contacted support via chat and they applied it within a min.
"Sorry, due to the overwhelming success of this promotion, we have run out of awards! Check back for more offers."
Bah.
I tried three times today before this came up, sigh. Easy come, easy go.
Sorry, Due to the overwhelming success of this promotion, we've reached our maximum number of rewards. This promotional code can no longer be used.
Someone needs help with that message - it's not worded very well. Sounds like someone removed "Too late. Sucks to be you, loser!" that was originally tacked on at the end.
Arg! love Audible, spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars with them over the years. Missed this one dammit!
Talk to support and say that you tried to claim it but it failed and now it has expired. They will probably apply the $10 credit anyway.
Any true OzBargainer will just go to their local public library where any number of DRM free audiobooks are available for nothing.
Some of them are already in MP3 format so don't even need ripping, just copying onto your audio device.
I've considered Audible on several occasions, nearly been tempted by their introductory offers, but the thought of getting suckered by all that DRM stuff puts me off.Agreed The DRM is a big point for me as well. I really wish they didn't do it. It's not like theres not ways multiple ways around it anyway so all it does is create a bad experience for the user. That aside though, ripping from the library is fine if you can find exactly what your looking for or I guess you could pay the library to ship what your looking for to the library ( I think thats like $4 per item I think). My library doesn't really have all that much that interests me. That and some of the best things on audible are stuff they commissioned or have rights to them selves. Not to mention some Audiobooks that don't even have physical releases or at least didn't when I wanted them.
Overall their Non sub per book pricing is a joke and their subscription pricing is still way to high comparable to other media subscription services whether it be Video or music.
Hopefully prices will come down on that in the future but until then grabbing all these free free trial offers that work on already existing account and $10 vouchers so I can use them for super cheap books or partial discounts works quite well with the library method.
Cool! This worked with the Audible credit last week. I have now $20 credit on my account!!!
