Sharp and Nice Bokeh!
Came to say this. Sony have been really killing it in the photography market these last few years.
while that's good sentiment, this lens was not manufactured by sony.
Is AF available?
unfortunately not, but good for video as it is clickless for its aperture
"Manual focus design and a click-less, silent aperture ring promote smooth handling and are especially well-suited to video applications."
Probably equivalent bokeh to a f/1.8 or f/1.4 on a FF camera?

The bokeh of this lens is equivalent to f/0.95.
What are you talking about?? This is a full frame lens.
wwooww…unfortunately no nikon mount.
Just yank out your dslr mirror and cram this lens right next to the sensor and put some glue on it and it should work.
What's the normal price + rrp of this?
Yet to see a TRUE good review of this lens.
I have used this lens (1st gen) and I can say it is a Noctilux clone and best used for night shots.
Sharp wide open, excellent colour rendition and at 1/10 a Noctilux price you cant go wrong.
Wish they make one for Nikon (I shoot Nikon professionally) so I can pair it with my Df for walkabout lens but looks like I will need to buy the A7s to make best use of this lens if I need f/1.0 or less.
For 969 I dont think it can be any cheaper. The copy I bought was from a collector in Japan who was waiting for the 2nd gen to come ou.
Others like the nokton F1.1 is also 1/10 the price of a Noctilux. I would rather go for Voigtlander which has a proven track record if I cannot get proper comparison. Also it is not just about the optics performance.Consistency, precision, service and resale value is important to me too.
You don't think this can be cheaper? In China, where photographic equipment is dearer than HK, they are selling version 2 of this at about $900 to $1K.
money $$ , where are you ? :|
Is this the "dark knight" edition?
holy moly F/0.95?!
