  • Is this a sale or an ad? Same price direct with Carnival.

  • It's part of the Carnival 'Pack N Go' Sale … just released today.

Still not a deal. Can go 18th March for $799.

      • For cruising, a month's delay makes a big difference. This is due to the fact that the weather plays a key part to the experience. You will find that Feb weather has a higher chance of being better than March hence the slightly dearer price. The closer to the edge of the cruising season (both start and end), the cheaper the fare. Hope this helps.

I believe you'll find the weather in the route is actually worse in Feb than March, unless you love rain.

          Quite true MelbBoy …
The cruise line companies typically release their Deals/Special Offers close to departure date if they have not totally sold out - they hate departing without a full ship!
Dec/Jan/Feb are the peak sailing dates out of Australia due to good/hot weather and School Holidays.

          @CruiseAgency:
Either way not a deal. Quick google search I found other companies offering this cruise for $881.02 twin share with $100 on board credit, or another $899 with $200 onboard credit. No mention of onboard credit with your deal.

        • @Slo20: I just double checked (both in our travel system and with our Carnival rep) —- there is definitely no On-Board credit with this particular cabin. (I think you may have mis-interpreted the on-board credit - it applies to "select cabins only" - i.e not this particular cabin). Hope this clears up the confusion. Thanks.

  • Normal online price for inside cabin

  • Heads up its rainy season in Fiji

    • the forecast looks pretty good for next few weeks …

  • Anyone know how much Carnival charge for on-board internet access? Couldn't find any info on their website.

    • When I did a cruise in the Carribean it was $1 per minute. All ships use the same technology so I'd assume it's about the same price.

Just give the pr0n a break for a few days

    • When I went on there it was something ridiculous, really not worth it.

      • Agree. I suppose it's not meant for extended browsing sessions - moreso just a 'service' for guests for emergency / essential communications.

    • As the others have posted, the onboard charges are quite exorbitant. Close to a $1 per min. However, you can buy minutes in packages with the largest package close to half the price as the cheapest package. If you are in a group of friends, it is best to share with them to get the biggest package and negotiate surfing times. You can connect unlimited devices but only 1 device at a time.

        Good advice MelbBoy.

Some information on Carnival on-board "Satellite Internet Plans"

        • 480 Mins for $159 ($0.33/min)
        • 240 Mins for $89 ($0.37/min)
        • 120 Mins for $59 ($0.49/min)
        • 45 Mins for $29 ($0.64/min)
        • Pay As You Go $0.75/min)
        • In most hotels internet is around $10 a day. This means that for the same price, you get about 20 minutes of internet time a day on a cruise ship. I suppose it's enough time to check your mail and catch up on a bit of news… better than nothing.

      Hi Regie69

$899 is the 'Pack N Go' sale price published to registered travel agents today, such as ourselves.

We are also a "bricks n mortar" travel agency - if you are in the Sydney CBD area, and looking to discuss cruise options, please do call in - we would be delighted to take the time to make sure you find a cruise that suits your needs.

      Thanks!
